I was so happy they have many vegan/vegetarian options. Most Peruvian places don't. It is in an old fashioned building (pre 1920's) with great ambiance. It has real wood inside of the restaurant.Their drinks are interesting: Chicha morada sangria! Their vegan tamal was good, but could stand to have more masa than veggies.Vegetarian options: They have 4 or more options.

Went here for a girls' dinner. The torta de Askinosie was hands down the BEST dessert I've ever had, and I know about desserts. It was so good that we visited the Askinosie Chocolate Factory (they give tours and free samples). Anyway, if you must order more than just cake, the mango trout was delicious. My friends had chicken skewers and pasta. They had spicy dishes; mine was mild and tasty. We had the cerveche, it was fine, and the fried guacamole, which I'd order again. The cocktails are worth trying. I ordered a pisco sour at the recommendation of our server. It did not disappoint. I also ordered a mojito, because #whychoose. Long story long, visit this place and get. the. torta (and a cocktail if you're old enough).

Very unique and cozy little restaurant on C-Street. Probably the only Peruvian restaurant in Springfield and it definitely doesn’t disappoint. Very reasonably priced for what you are getting. The mussels are a must try.

Really charming little place. My boyfriend had the Colorado Skewers and it was fantastic, smokey, peppery, and tender chicken. I had the Pesto Peru and paid $3 extra for mushrooms and I got 5 slices in the whole dish... Not even a whole mushroom. But the flavor was nice. Our cocktails were fantastic, and service was good. However, we were terribly disappointed and almost left after we were seated completely outside of the dining room in an awkward 2 top table at the entry way. When you enter you get this beautiful view of the room and its exciting to see and then we didn't even get to be a part of it it... Everyone who walked in was a part of our dining experience and it really killed the atmosphere. We would have gladly waited for a proper table. I would definitely come back for a second chance.

Excellent food with a unique and charming atmosphere on C Street. Our sever was knowledgeable on the menu items and very attentive. We ordered the Fryer Rabbit and the Aji Panca Rubbed Sirloin for our dinner; the seasoning on the rabbit was so tasty, and the chipotle sauce that the steak was served with was absolutely divine! We ended the meal by splitting the Lucuma Cheesecake, which was light and sweet. Would be the ultimate fall dessert!Overall it was a great experience, and will be visiting again!

My husband and I have been enjoying the occasional date nights at Cafe Cusco for approximately 3 years now. Tonight we discovered that they changed their menu which was kind of disappointing, but we figured anything we ordered would be great. We were wrong. My Amazon rice was undercooked, very crunchy. My husband's pasta was doused in pesto, so much you couldn't taste the noodles. The wait staff were wonderful, as usual. I'm not sure if they have new cooks or if this was just a one time deal, but we may have to find a new favorite restaurant.

Having lived and worked in Peru, I judge Peruvian food kinda harshly. My favorite food in Peru was Lomo Salado so i was excited to hear a place in Springfield had it. The place has very retro vibe to it and it's built into an older building. We all liked that. My wife, daughter's and i all ordered the lomo saltado. I asked if they had my favorite Peruvian (non alcoholic) drink, maracuya and they didn't even know what it was. At this point i knew these were not actually peruvians running this place. EVERYONE in peru knows what maracuya is. I asked if they had pan de queso or picarones, again they didn't know what they were... At this point i held out little hope that the lomo would be authentic or good. Well to my surprise, the lomo wasn't too bad. It lacked a decent amount of grilled onions and most importantly it lacked gravy or the juices that come with lomo. If they would have added a small bit of gravy and a small bit of grilled onions, this Lomo would have actually been pretty good. In peru, a good indicator that the lomo had enough gravy was that the while rice was half dark because it had soaked up gravy. Even lacking it here; it was pretty good. The beef had a very good flavor. I had also hoped they had brasa chicken for my son as he loved it in Peru but they didn't. All in all, if you want a sampling of Peruvian food, this place isn't bad at all. Like i said at the beginning, i rate peruvian food pretty harshly because i love it. My brother who had been in Peru with me and who also loved lomo saltado, Loved the lomo here (he did his own review). While their lomo saltado was off the mark a bit for me, it was still good. Add grilled onions and gravy and you'd have a good idea of what good lomo saltado is all about. Then get some maracuya and picarones (dessert) and this place would be great. I can still recommend this place without reservation.

The atmosphere is self sustainable, to say the least here. I had a luscious plate of portobello pesto with crayfish soup and was delighted with it as well as our server, and my eyes buldged at the serving. To die for vintage look and scrumptious taste!!!!!

This place is Ahhhhmazing! From the apps to the entrees the food is delicious! The drinks are top notch and the service is 2nd to none. Trevor was our waiter and very educational when we were asking about the food. He actually picked out our food and it was wonderful! You HAVE to check this place out.
