The food was good, the service not so much. There were two elderly ladies sitting at a table near us who ordered the same time we did, we got our food and we were finishing our food when I heard them ask where their food was, they waited a few more minutes and then left! I don't blame them! Also, why are the waitresses responsible for making change and not using a register like a normal business!? I had to wait for the waitress to get my change, which some of it came out of her own purse, this is a crazy was to run a business. This used to be a good place to dine, with good service and it's sad to say that this restaurant needs added to our list of places that we won't go back to!

We ate at Lorena's Cafe for breakfast for the first time today and were so impressed with our meals! The biscuits and gravy were fresh and full of flavor. The veggies in the omelet were perfectly cooked and the hashbrowns were crispy and golden on the outside. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. Would definitely return in the future.

A Very Lovely Experience. Felt like being welcomed home after a long time away. The smiling happy faces were genuine and sincere and welcoming. The quality and service provided were top notch. The experience was reminiscent of being reunited with old friends and family at last. I most definitely will be a return customer as long as I'm tolerated! I'd recommend this lovely diner to anyone looking for an old fashioned style diner and family styled gathering place after church services or something. Home at last... It's been such a long time!

Food was good but we had an issue with a couple of our orders. One person ordered a tenderloin sandwich and was brought a hamburger which waitress switch pretty quickly. Another one of the orders was to come with okra and waitress went to check with kitchen she was told they were out. We took a substitute and we didn't receive it until we were leaving when we asked what happened!! We probably will give them another chance

I usually eat here three or four times a month mostly breakfast. I’ve tried others around town and I can honestly say that this is the best country fried steak and best gravy of all the cafés and diners. The service here is always good as usually pretty busy. Prices compared to other places of a similar type of eatery.

The dinner rolls were over microwaved.. solid hard as a rock. The potatoes were nasty. The Cole slaw was gross! Definitely terrible. Not the same as cedars.. won't be in for a long time.

This is maybe the best breakfast we've had in Springfield and the service was great. Will definitely be back!

Lorena's Cafe is the new name. Same ownership. Menu and facilities are in process of being refreshed. Homestyle cooking.

Great breakfast and great service! Had a meeting and was surprised by how much came with a meal. They accommodated a group of 5 if us and everything was done in good time and was a great place for our group to meet and have valuable conversation. I recommend Cedars.

Good food, good service, and relatively fast. The portions are big and the prices are low (by today's standards).

Pretty good service and food. Our waitress was nice. Resraurant (including trstroom) was clean. I would enjoy eating here again indeed. Rude waitresses, super hot I understand it's an older building but maybe have more fans than just 1 way in the back. Had to wait 15 mins just to put our drink order in. Used Band-Aids stuck on the walls. For first time coming to this restaurant it was horrible! Won't be coming back.
