Mijuri is a wonderful hidden gem that has been consistently wonderful for over a decade. Every friend I introduce to Mijuri is pleasantly surprised! Try the spicy rainbow roll, you won't regret it.

My favorite sushi in town! I took my mom for her first time today and she agrees! Very budget friendly for what you get, great lunch specials.

The reason for 4 stars: Only one waitress for every table in the whole place. It meant I ran out of water multiple times and had to wait a long time for my check. When you’re paying $$$ you’d like reliable service.Otherwise .. the sushi is delish! I’m not the raw slices of sushi kinda girl. I prefer regular rolls with toppings, spicy, and sometimes flash fried. I was on a spicy kick the night I went so we got the crunch roll, star jalapeño, panic, and the volcano. The crunch is okay, not really crunchy. The star jalapeño is delish! And the panic roll is by far the best spicy roll we had. The volcano comes on fire but got soggy with time and was not appetizing even after about 10 minutes. We got the combination bento for our daughters to share with a cali roll and shrimp tempura and they loved it! Lots of food and perfect for two kids or two light eaters! All in all the food was good, kind of high on price. But it’s an experience!

Simple dining, an unassuming Japanese joint to eat. Wifey and I enjoyed the rolls and the service was EXCELLENT! the Volcano and Sea Monster were excellent. The panic roll she didn't care for but I enjoyed it and the star jalapeno was very tasty. We will return to try other rolls and especially the service!

At one time we didn't have a grocery bill, we had a Sushi Bill! Finding a really good Sushi Restaurant in Springfield, MO took some time. Found Mijuri after a friend's recommendation and have never looked back.

Great food and the service was very good. It's an older building and I was surprised at the prices, but the sushi was worth it.

We frequently go eat at similar concept establishments around Springfield. This time we had received a gift card to Mijuri so we decided to give it a try. On first sight the establishment looked like it has been abandoned. This is because the windows present on the outside, are barricaded by the decoration on the inside. The look of the building is probably the reason why we had never attempted to visit before. Though looks can be deceiving and the occasion offered us an opportunity to test this theory out. Our first disappointment came when the food on the menu differs from the menu they presented on TripAdvisor and their website. A California roll, usually priced around Springfield, and on their website, for 5$ was now listed as 8$ on their menu. This price was very similar to other sushi rolls they offer so we did not decide to take our usual. The overal quality of the sushi was poor. Even the edamame we took as a starter were off bad quality. Whereas many were brown and were empty to begin with. If I were to give an overal description of the establishment I would say that it feels like eating sushi at price-cutter while the edamame were frozen from Walmart and simply tossed in the microwave for a quick heat. If you’re reading this review please consider going to Koi and/or Haruno. Do not try this place out. It will disappoint you even if the previous mentioned restaurants are a normality to you. To Mijuri; maybe try a different concept if you do not have the funds to measure up to any of the surrounding sushi places, which is obvious for the (very) high prices compared to the service/luxury provided. There are many trendy concepts like sushi pie’s, burrito’s and or such which I highly suggest to consider.

All pretty good except one piece of broccoli tempera was bad inside, brown and awful. Should never have been served. If you're older you definitely want to bring in the reading glasses to see the menu.

A small, quiet, dark and quaint place, to enjoy sushi. On our night...we found the ingredients to be fresh and delicious on the rolls. In the bento boxes, the shrimp tempura was very good. The steak teriyaki, had a grilled Smokey taste, which complimented the nicely balanced teriyaki sauce. The yakiniku meat was cooked more than I would like; but again, did have the nice grilled Smokey taste. Suggestion: The volcano roll comes on fire z(to the table). It was good. But spend the few extra bucks - get the Imperial roll. It comes in the foil boat and is set on fire. That one is better - for the (on fire) rolls!
