Dinner at Aya Sofia was wonderful! The setting is very cozy with tapestries and dim lighting. We started with the Hydari, which was incredibly refreshing. Our main was their mixed grill, which had a plethora of meats and veggies with some rice pilaf, our favorite was the kofte! The skewered meats were a touch overcooked, but the flavors were on point! What a wonderful New Year’s Eve experience! The appetizer trio was excellent, particularly the spinach and goat cheese in phyllo. The butternut squash soup was delicately flavored with a nice hint of spice. My swordfish skewers were cooked to perfection, and the accompanying rice pilaf was a revelation.
