“The food was delicious. My wife had the 6th street fajita taco, and she said it was the best she had ever had. I ordered the Carmen Burrito without the cheese to keep it vegan. The grilled sweet potatoes with their rice and black beans were spiced so perfectly. It also had other veggies. I asked to see if they sold their spice, but unfortunately, not. The chips and salsas are not the standard salsa. It is also delicious. All staff was very friendly, and our waitress, Emily, was very personable, engaging in good conversation. We also had a margarita and Paloma. The margarita was delicious, and my wife loved her Paloma. I'm not sure when we'll be back in St Louis, but when we do, we will definitely come back. It's within 3 miles of the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Enjoy the gardens, then relax here. We highly encourage everyone to visit this restaurant.Vegetarian options: The Carmen Burrito is vegetarian, and can be vegan by eliminating the cheese. There are other options.“
“I met up with a buddy here for lunch. It was really good! Nice authentic Mexican food, not Tex-Mex Taco Bell style. I got the chicken chimichanga meal, and it was excellent! The complimentary chips and salsa were good as well. I'd definitely give this place a try again in the future!“
“Can be a little loud when they are busy. Food is good and you get lots, won't leave hungry.Parking: Depending on how busy they are, sometimes parking is not great. Restaurant shares parking with a convenience type store/sandwich shop, and I believe a laundromat around the corner.“
“First time visiting El Potro, had the enchiladas with mole and 3 tacos dinner Al pastor and carne asada. Everything from the service to the food was great. The owner and staff are super nice!! Will definitely go back , next time will try the molcajete.“
“I went to grab a pick up order on Wednesday March 27, I had had a bad day and the bartender could not have been nicer!!! Her kindness meant more to me than she will ever know. Also the food was phenomenal and the margaritas were excellent will be back for sure!!“
“Ordered a carne asada burrito, chicken burrito, chips and queso, and two margaritas (strawberry and regular). Everything was fantastic. Burritos are huge, queso and chips just how I like them and margaritas were very tasty. There tomatillo salsa had just the right balance of flavor and heat. The team was very friendly and efficient. I’m definitely going back . . . often!“
“Absolutely love the staff, food and margaritas! This is our regular spot on a Friday night to have a pitcher of margaritas. The staff is always so nice and helpful and why we keep coming back. They are always so accomodating as well. It's anfun atmosphere and we will keep coming back!“
“That was the BEST Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been too!!! They filled up our chips and salsa three times before we could reach the bottom of the container! Same with the drinks. Me and my group thought that the food couldn’t be better than the salsa but when it came out everyone agreed that it was the best Mexican food we’ve ever had.“
“AMAZING!!! The food is incredible. The service was so fast and they were crazy busy. The margaritas were fabulous and the performers were hella fun! 10 out of 10 and will DEFINITELY be back. This end of Telegraph needed some good Mexican food and El Mayor does not disappoint!“
“Really nice place inside. Don't know what the bar looked like because we didn't go in. I have heard people say that it's pricey and of course it is because this isn't your average Mexican restaurant. The menu is small plate oriented and the menu ismore like a tasting menu. The food is higher end than all the other places and outstanding. I can't comment on their drink menu because I seldom drink when going out. I will say that the pricing seem to be a bit higher than most places which will account for a higher per person ticket if one has two or three drinks. Still, our total was $70 ore tip for 2 people including 2 beers. The wait time between "courses" is a bit long but not enough for me to really complain about. The staff were friendly dmv knowledgeable about the menu. It may not me a place we'll go to monthly but we will definitely be back!“
“We came to El Milagro for National Margarita Day and liked it so much that we returned with friends three days later. On our first visit, we got the steak tacos and the birria tacos. We thoroughly enjoyed both dishes as well as the margaritas. I was a big fan of the Strawberry Basil Margarita. We had good service, even with a group of 6 of us. The restaurant has a cute vibe, and I'm excited for the patio to open up because it looks like a great place for a patio happy hour. This will definitely be one of our go-to Mexican spots going forward!“
“Dined here for the first time last night. Salsa was delish, margaritas was fantastic (got the Mezcal. They were out of tajin, but it was still excellent with salt). Enjoyed the tacos and the street corn. 10 out of 10! Looking forward to dining here again.“
“We’ve not had the luxury of dine in but we will soon! All of the times we ordered have been pick up. The food is great! I always get the same thing: Quesadilla Fiesta, and Chicken Quesadilla. The Quesadilla Fiesta is moist and full with sour cream on the side. Also they serve the tortilla chips n salsa. Salsa is good but a tad spicy. The Chicken Quesadilla is on the dry side so be sure to order sour cream or queso to moisten it up a bit. You will need to request utensils before you leave as it is not a standard item in your to go bag. I eat there about 2-4 times a month, so very good experience!Parking: I am handicapped and sometimes non handicapped people park there to be close to door. So if using a wheelchair, walker or cane, you may be in for a longer walk so that is unfortunate.“
“Good food, good atmosphere, good service.Kid-friendliness: This is a family welcome restaurantWheelchair accessibility: I have not been worn a wheelchair but there is disabled parking, the aisles between tables are wide enough to comfortably move a wheelchair through.“
“Available for dine in, carry out and on Uber eats. Delicious authentic steet tacos with varying protein options. Nothing vegan sorry. But you can do no meat and get a quesadilla or torte w just cheese for vegetarian. I've tried almost all the meats. The lengua is soooo good if you're feeling adventurous. Tacos, tortes and quesadilla all delicious. Would rate higher if I could. Best stop in the city for tacos.“
“If you're looking for genuine Mexican cuisine that won't dent your budget, this is the place for you. The wait staff was friendly and provided helpful suggestions for the menu. I went for my favorite, the asada tacos, and they were truly delicious. The salsa was also noteworthy. I intend to return and explore more items on the menu. All in all, it was a fantastic experience.“
“Thrilled that we found this hidden gem on South Grand. Our meal started with chips and guacamole. The guacamole comes with or without jalapeños and we did without. Great flavor and texture with small pieces of tomato. I had the quesabirria and the were amazing! They were filled with tender pieces of beef, onions and cilantro. My husband had the tamales and they were fantastic too! The restaurant is very clean and staff are warm and welcoming.“
“My new favorite Mexican restaurant in St Louis. very courteous service, everything tasted fresh, portions are ridiculously generous! My son's kid's meal was as big as a regular meal in most other restaurants, and I could only finish half of mine even though it was so good, and I normally eat a lot.“
“One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever tried. Excellent burritos, fajitas, and amazing mole sauce, verde, and salsa. They also make a very spicy ?️ salsa if you ask. The meat is very tender, moist, and seasoned very well. Huge portions for food for a very reasonable price! This is a must stop place to eat! Super nice people with excellent service and awesome food!“
“Come often and never disappointed. Yesterday had Margarita', chicken wings & cheese dish. Everything was Amazing. The owner always speaks and the staff makes sure everything is to your liking. 1st class & best Mexican is St. Louis.“
“What can I say? Amazing service. Absolutely feels like a family establsihment that really cares. The food was very good. My only disappointment was sides were either rice or beans. So many restaurants I go to come with both. I just added it as a side, so no biggie. Just an observation. I will go again and again.“
“My husband and I went here for lunch during the week and were very impressed with the food. Well priced and delicious. He ordered carne asada tacos and I had the pollo chipotle with a side of beans. Everything was seasoned well and fresh tasting. The price was also great for what we got. We'll definitely be coming back.“
“Easily the best Mexican restaurant in St. Louis. Food is seriously incredible (especially the chorizo chimichanga), drinks are delicious and strong, atmosphere is great, staff are very nice, service times even when fully-packed are very fast, and prices are very reasonable and better than other Mexican restaurants in the area. They even include complementary chips and salsa for to-go orders! Highly recommend La Crazy to anyone - my new go-to Mexican restaurant.“
“I haven’t been to Chimichangas in years, pre Covid. Decided to give it a try again. We found great service, great food, an updated, clean and bright restaurant. We used to go there a lot and our server still remembered us. If you haven’t been there in a while go back, you won’t be disappointed. If you’re looking for a great Mexican restaurant with a good atmosphere try Chimichangas on South Grand.“
“Let me just preface this by saying I moved here from South Texas and have spent more than my fair share of time in Old Mexico. In years of searching for REAL Mexican food in St Louis, I’ve had many disappointments. This place was absolutely fantastic and pure pleasure for an old Texan. It even made me shhh my wife because I wasn’t willing to remove my focus from the delicacy I was partaking in. Can’t recommend this place enough and haven’t been able to stop telling others about it. I’ll be a permanent fixture there for sure.“
“The *best* neighborhood Mexican restaurant in St. Louis. Amazing cuisine, fast and friendly service, great value and the best margaritas in Rock Hill! My husband and I have been going to El Indio since the doors opened nearly 15 years ago and watched it grow into the successful restaurant it is today. It’s no wonder why it is such a gem in Rock Hill! Make El Indio your next night out. Order a pitcher of margaritas on the rocks, share among friends & family and discover what the rest of us already know and love!“
“Authentically Mexican! The outside of the restaurant looks shady, the sign is is a spray painted board and there is a boarded up window. But, all staff and customers I saw seemed hispanic. I felt like I was able to have an authentic experience with the food I ordered!“
“The service is excellent, friendly, and fast. Even for a party of 6, we got our food in 20 min. Flavors are good. I enjoyed mine, but have had better. Would rate food an A-. Salsa a little too spicy for my wife. Would've liked a milder option.Dietary restrictions: A great keto (low-carb) or diabetic option is the molcajete (stew of several meats). Eat without tortillas, and you'll still have enough to take home.“
“BEST pupusas I’ve had in over a decade!! From the salsa to the curtido, this is our new go to restaurant!! Las mejor pupusas que he probado en mas de una decada!! Desde la salsa al curtido, todo estuvo delicioso!! Este es nuestro nuevo restaurante favorito!“
“Food was very delicious and flavorful. I really enjoy authentic Mexican food, and hit the nail on this one. The corn they give you on the side was delicious and sweet and very moist. The drinks were deli's as well. The service was amazing. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recommendations. The inside was very clean, spacious and dim lit. Can't wait to go again and try more food.“
“Amazing authentic Mexican food! When in St. Louis we could not find a place to eat we came upon this restaurant tucked in and stopped in. The owner did not have a table available but made sure to quickly find us all a place to sit and accommodated all 7 of us very quickly! It was such a fun and positive atmosphere! Next time I come to st Louis I will be sure to be coming back to this amazing cuisine. They food and drinks were absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!“
“I have never had Honduran food before visiting Sueño and let me just say...shoutout to the people of Honduras because your food is incredible! I started off with a drink and I ordered the strawberry margarita. Sueño uses a fresh strawberry puree that they make in house and it was literally the best margarita that I've ever had. It was so good that I ordered two of them. lol For my entree, I ordered the Pollo Con Tajadas. It's also known as Pollo Chuco which means 'chicken with slices'. The entrée is made with fried plantains topped with fried chicken, cabbage salad, pico de Gallo salad, onions, and sauces. It was so flavorful and filling! There was nothing but crumbs left by the time I was done eating. lol I will most definitely be coming back to try some other items on the Sueño menu.“
“I have had almost everything on the menu so far I have not found anything that has not been prepared cooked taste great meets my expectations for a restaurant and one day I will eat everything on the menu at least once highly recommend anybody that likes Mexican food to try this place highly “
“Great place! Our server, Mario, was awesome. Came and took our drink order immediately and paid close attention to our drinks. Food came out, and it was smaller than expected, I got the Carretta wrap with steak. It was $11 and really good if you aren't too hungry. Mario definitely ate the star because he was SUPER Mario. (The toothpick machine is really cool, too)“
“Best signature margarita ever!! Food is also tasty ?Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten allergy. I always order chicken nachos, which are delicious, and I never get sick.Parking: I can be difficult to find parking but there's a lot of street parking available.“
“Our favorite Mexican spot in STL. Perhaps... our very favorite spot in general? My wife (and friends, and family, and everyone who visits us) have been coming to El Bronco for 10+ years and it has never lost the edge! A classic, authentic joint with friendly smiling people, often packed full of locals. Literally everything we've had has been enjoyable, but my wife's regular is the shrimp cocktail, and mine if the steak Mexicana with flour tortillas - guaranteed hit! The chicken quesadilla is a champ, too. El Bronco is awesome and I hope it never changes!!“

The prices are very competitive and the town is easy to find.(Original)Tienda Latina, tiene gran variedad de comidas regionales de México y Centro América. Los precios son muy competitivos y la localidad fácil de encontrar.“
“this place has gone to the dogs ive complained multiple times about my CHICKEN being doughy and greasy i even reminded them yesterday about fully cooking i left out with 3 chicken dinners all were trash skin hanging off chicken since they cant get it right i wont be returning 3 strikes your out SORRY JOE your southwest location management is just there for the money after multiple compaints to manager months later still the same..why is it so dark and empty in there now looks like they are hiding something .IM DONE THANKS BUT NO THANKS.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE POST WAS SWITCHED TO RECOMMEND“
“*** Foodies take note ***** El Mexiquense has a very broad range of menu offerings, beyond those typical of your average Mexican restaurant. Those that I have tried were wonderful. Their three salsas each have tremendous flavor and texture (not pureed). The staff, while not especially fluent in English, were very attentive. (This is, after all, an authentic Mexican restaurant) I would like to next bring several friends so that we can sample more items from the menu than the 1 or 2 that I typically order.“
“The food was delicious. The service was slack.. very slack. After food was delivered to table, the waiter did not come back to check. I had to ask another employee for to-go containers. I was asking questions about the food and he acted like I was annoying him. But I would recommend for the food.“
“Grande Burger is worth the price. Do not hesitate. No gristle or bones in these burgers! The first time there were jalapeños which was delicious. Ask for them if you want them. Pick up service is quick. The hard shell tacos are yummy too. One time they were flour and the next time corn so it is lovely to get a variety and have this choice. (Later learned hard shell flour is chalupa not taco. Chalupa shell is a little heavier than a fried flour tortilla.) The Steak Fajita King Burrito is so large it could feed a family! Super tasty and made less messy which is another thing to appreciate. We just started ordering here and plan to make it a regular staple in our rotation. Typically do not get along with restaurant food but *this food* must be built with love!“
“Lily's Panaderia has been open for many years. If you are a loyal customer or have visited the bakery, You’ll recall the old location being small and cozy. Their new location offers more space for customers to enjoy their freshly baked treats alongside a cup of coffee to start the day. If you like a savory treat, I would recommend the bread with cream cheese and jalapeño. For the sweet treats, I would recommend the conchas. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to try real authentic Mexican bread here in STL. Lily’s panaderia always excels in taste and presentation too.“
“A favorite ! The quesabirria tacos are so delicious and this restaurant does not break the bank. The wait staff of Dos Reyes is kind and consistent, as well as them being attentive and timely.I’d recommend Dos Reyes to anyone who would ask for Mexican in the area. Plus i like their patio! It makes for a fun destination for a nice day.“
“The food is great. I've tried the loaded fries with steak. Also loaded nachos, carne asada tacos. I was not disappointed. Though communication is sometimes difficult, staff still nice. No dine in, drive thru or window order only. Not sure on delivery.“
“This place is a gem.Atomsphere is very warm, welcoming attitude you recieve once you cross the doors & enter in. If you ever wanted to go out an justwant to beat being in a crowd . This is a humble, relaxing place to be. Very much family friendly. I'm definitely going back.“
“Ordered delivery through Postmates bc we're quarantined and could not have been more satisfied with everything! Amazing chunky guacamole. Veggie fajitas with mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower on top of veggies that usually come in fajitas so you don't feel like they just took out the meat. Fantastic chile relleno. Also no styrofoam in our order and minimal plastic. Thank you for delicious dinner and for supporting Tent Mission and our unhoused neighbors in STL!“
“Came here with two girlfriends, couldn't quite decide on what to order so we ordered one of every taco on the menu and it was the best choice ever! This is an affordable way to satisfy many different people's palates and a fun way to test out the menu! Great for those who are at times indecisive like I was that night.“
“La VallesanaHey! This place is solid. You can count on a freaking awesome plate every time. Tacos, quesadillas, tortas and way more than I'm going to mention here…. My go to is the camerones al diablo (well, currently, anyways) and I have decided that between the quesadilla and the torta, the torta wins. It's the grilled bread with crispy cheese edges and idk how they do it but this is a sandwich that keeps me coming back for more.I've been coming to this place formerly known to myself and others affectionately as The Taco Stand for over a couple decades! It seriously used to be a one room shack on the corner of California and Cherokee. Now the enlarged building multiplies its size by at least 10! The outdoor patio on the corner is larger than the whole joint started out. It's now formatted so you order and seat yourself, which works out well as far as I can tell. And takeout is just as easy. IT DOES GET BUSY, so if you suspect you're in a time crunch you could always go to another spot nearby and grab Mexican at a (potentially) less busy spot.ALL of the Mexican restaurants on Cherokee have great items on their menus and and it's worth exploring all of them to see what you like where. But basically La Vallesana is my go-to when I'm not being particular and maybe want to go be anonymous somewhere. The last thing I have to say about La Vallesana is that you might want to think about dessert first, so you can save room. When you enter, all the house made ice cream and aguas frescas like horchata are also not to be overlooked. Plan ahead.Saturdays seem to be busiest and I am here on a Tuesday after lunch rush, and there's still a steady flow of customers. 5 stars out of 5 here. Glad to support local growth and a minority owned business on Cherokee Street.“
“I came here for dinner before a long night out to explore the bars close by. The food portions are enormous! I ordered a bulgogi bowl with extra meat, and it's not your usual Korean food portion. It was massive! It was a hearty dinner. The staff is friendly, and the ambiance is all right for a quick dinner or lunch here.“
“Food was amazing! First time having birria tacos amazing experience I loved it! The chicken street tacos amazing! Everything was seasoned so good the Diablo sauce was very spicy and good. The corn was my daughter’s favorite! Definitely coming back again.“
