“Looked a little questionable from the outside, but once inside, it is very cozy and nicely decorated. Attentive staff were professional and friendly. Owner had the music way too loud and staff quickly remedied this. Food was delicious and visually appealing.“

“I enjoy going here to eat. While not entirely true to native Italian food, the spirit of the cuisine is captured. The salad was excellent and the pasta e fagioli was close enough.. No, it is not as good as Mama Shivoni's, but close enough. I enjoyed it immensely.“

Reserve bar tables OR bar seats for live entertainment.Parking: Parking CAN be an issue. It is stripmall parking so prime time parking can be a bit congested.“
“I would put Donatelli's Italian food up against any in the St. Louis area....even restaurants on "The Hill" ! We have been going for years and have always had fantastic food. Also, a great piano bar with live music (check their website). You can have a gourmet lunch with a drink, salad, entree and fresh hot Italian bread for under $15. Compare that to a fastfood burger meal (yech!) for over $10. Professional, friendly wait staff. Great for special occasions or just an informal lunch/dinner.“
“We went here tonight for a birthday celebration. We have been wanting to try this place for awhile. After the most current reviews I was a little worried about trying it but we decided to anyway. I'm so glad we did. Everything was exceptional!!!! We were seated with minutes of arriving. Got drinks right away. Our waitress Sierra was fabulous!!! She was patient while we took our time deciding what we wanted. She was very attentive. Never had to ask for a refill. Our food was amazing!!! There was 6 of us and everyone enjoyed their meal. I definitely recommend this place.“
“We tried 3 different calzones from the menu and they were all amazing. Hot fresh bread surrounded melty cheese and luscious ingredients like chicken, ham, sausage, and veggies. We tried the "Meat me in St. Louie," "the Duke," and the "Which came first" and also got a Caesar salad. The food was great. Glasses for self service water elevated the experience. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Restrooms were very clean.“
