Check out these Gulfport Mexican dining hotspots.
“Always fabulous. Small staff with cozy atmosphere. Great handcrafted margaritas and delicious guacamole made table-side.Fair pricing for premium menu.Small bar with sports televisionOutdoor dining patio as well.Try the iced tea margarita if you are a tea lover like me, or the jalapeno margarita if you like it kicked up a bit.“
“I ordered takeout for me and my husband. I got three Birria tacos, the steak and rice with cheese and chips with salsa. It was all sooo delcious! Will def be getting again! I loved the taste of their steak it was seasoned really well! And I loved their Mexican rice which is really hard for me to find one I like! 5/5!!!“
“WE found this place while on vacation i love tamales so we stopped in and gave it a try was not disappointed the food was fantastic i had tamales and my wife had a quesadilla she is a picky eater and hard to please but she loved it actually said it was the best she had ever eaten. When in Gulfport we will definitely go back. The ladies that ran it were very friendly i was admiring a cruising the coast poster in the window and when i ask about it they gave it to me. I collect auto related memorabilia and this is now a prized item in my collection many thanks to them ! it was much appreciated.“
“OH MY GOSH! I had never had a salad bowl with the tasty foods they put in! It was super fresh … It was absolutely delicious and I am so glad I went for lunch yesterday! It was fast and friendly service, the young man Zander was super nice, the owner came out to ask how everything was… it was fantastic.“
“I'm so happy to find a spot that offers menudo every day. I almost always order the menudo because it is fantastic. It is spicy and full of meat. But if you don't like menudo, the other options are great as well. My dad frequently orders a grilled steak, onions and peppers dish. It is served with cheese sauce over rice. It is quite good, and it is a very big portion. It can get quite busy during both lunch and dinner, but we've always gotten a seat and had good service.“
“This was a great dining experience. Tony, the owner, was great! The margaritas were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. I especially loved the nachos supreme with extra jalapeños. This was the first Mexican restaurant ever on the Gulf coast. It is over 50 years old and the food is excellent. I. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting top quality Mexican food.“
“This is the #1 off the lunch menu for $8.75, I added a cup of cheese and some beer. You couldn't get half this much at Taco Bell for the price. In fact for $8 at Taco Bell you will be sorely disappointed, receive low quality food, and a 50 year old loser will make it wrong every time. El Saltillo is authentic Mexican food. Come here every time. By the way my server was also amazing.“
“Found this place as I was in town briefly to use an atm. The food was tasty but beans were very cold lol I don't understand how that could be a thing. I didn't care for the green salsa. I couldn't try the chili sauce as im vegeterian.I also didn't understand mentioning how the tortilla was 10" but well you see the picture. It was 1.89 so can't complain tooooo much but very odd. Would try something else if ever in the area again. Beans were tasty.“
“I ordered a large margarita and it was excellent. And I got the vegetarian 2-chilis rellenos dinner with a guacamole salad, and it was very good.I wonder if they have considered painting the ceiling black like at El Jalepeño. A black ceiling makes the atmosphere more festive and exotic, and encourages a Fiesta mood!Vegetarian options: Chili relleno“
“Food was fantastic! We moved from Texas and have had some great birria tacos and these are right up there with some of the best. They also had a great topping station and the salsas were delicious. The staff was very friendly and food was cooked quickly. Absolutely recommend!“
“The food is fabulous! The environment sucks! The music is violently loud. There’s a small child that lives in one of the booths (probably while mom works) who plays his phone even louder than the concert level music AND they even have a TV blaring!! Even if you ask them to turn all three of them down, they dont understand the request! The food is so good but you cannot have a conversation without yelling across the table. Huge buzz kill.“
“This was our first time dining here and it will not be our last. It was a very family friendly environment, the margarita was delicious, the food came out quick and everyone enjoyed their meal, including our two younger toddlers.Kid-friendliness: The kids menu had a lot of options at a good price point.“
