We really enjoyed the fried chicken,green beans, & rice & gravy. My son liked the chocolate pie & I got the lemon meringe. Service was top notch & the food was reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!
I chose this cafe when I was home in Australia planning this trip. We drove today from Memphis, Tennessee to New Orleans and I wanted to stop off in Jackson, Mississippi to have lunch at George’s Cafe. Well, I was certainly not disappointed!! Extensive selection of home cooked food and excellent prices. The menu changes slightly every day and I doubt that you’d have trouble finding something you like. I always love coming here for lunch and met two friends there who were in town for doctor appointments. It is conveniently located close to all the big hospitals, and the food choices are great! They always have at least three or four meat choices as well as vegetables, salads, and desserts...all at a very affordable price! And the staff are friendly and check on your drink refills regularly!
