This place should be your first restaurant stop when visiting Laurel. Top notch seafood dishes whether you are looking for non-fried healthy options or the best gumbo you have ever tasted. When you're this close to the coast, seafood should mean, well, seafood. When I stopped in recently, Fins delivered. I had a crab bisque with big chunks of crab and an outstanding shrimp po'boy. (Get the onion rings!) My mother declared the fried oysters amongst the best she's had in her 80+ years. Highly recommended.

What a gem--whole fried fresh catfish cooked to perfection! The fried mushroom appetizer was yum--with so many mushrooms! They have a varied selection of seafood and the wait staff was first rate! Though not a huge dining space, it was clean, family-friendly and very enjoyable. Again, it was a place where locals dined and came for take-out!
