Incredibly delicious and really amazing service. I rarely do this but I had to ask them to re-make my salad bc the dressing was too heavy- the staff were very kind about it and my salad was amazingly filling and nutritious. If you have time, I reccomend sitting down with a warm cup of broth because it is DELICIOUS.

$30 for a head of lettuce i’m actually kind of embarrassed that I spent my hard earned money here. When ordering I thought it was a little on the expensive side , but I figured I would get my moneys worth in substance, boy was I wrong. I added chicken for six extra dollars. I counted the cubes of chicken they gave me (total of 5, 1/2 in cubes) $1 a cube apparently ? there was one crumble of cheese. I’m not exaggerating you guys this place is 100% for show. Gentrification salad. I will be feeling the buyers remorse for at least a week. It was literally just dry lettuce. I would’ve been better off eating an unwashed head of lettuce from the grocery store.

The food was ok but not great. They got my order wrong then acted snooty about it even though I was nice about it. The lady acted snooty about me ordering some chicken to go with my dish. Really weird and kind of rude person that we had to deal with. Quite unnecessary attitude from the person when she brought the corrected food to the table. Also, I asked for hot food.. their idea of hot food is barely luke warm. The staff was great except for the one server that should definitely not be in food service industry. The place looks nice but unlikely that we will visit again. Will definitely not be back. Tell your fake Wokey to find another job if they have problem with someone ordering a meat item from your COLD FOOD menu. Go woke, go broke.

Very expensive and I think I’ve preferred the food at a Sweetgreen. The teriyaki stir fry was disappointing—too much rice and not enough veggies and protein, and the presentation was sad (reminded me of food court Chinese). The white bean and cauliflower salad was good but still…too expensive for what you get. Maybe it’s just a sign of the times but I wish you didn’t have to pay this much just to eat a meal that isn’t highly processed.

I normally never write reviews--having been in the restaurant industry myself, most of the time reviews are from grumpy folks who you could probably never make happy no matter what you did--but I just had the best coffee of my life at Basal. Every time I go, there are always the most kind and sweet staff. The food and drink is always amazing as well. Thanks for the wonderful spot in Downtown :)

The ingredients are super fresh, you have a wide variety to mix and make a delicious salad or rice with vegetables and protein, you can also order smoothies. The service is very good and the place is very quiet, if you are staying at the Marriott you can enter the restaurant without leaving the hotel

I love this place and their amazing salads. Build your own or select from the menu, you can't go wrong. Their ingredients are as fresh as it gets, their dressings are light and delicious. Healthy and tasty, but oh my pricey!
