I tried the flathead cherry sorbet and it was amazing, it had little bits of cherry which was great, and a few little bits of cherry pit but even with that I would get it again. My wife tried the salted caramel as a Sundae with chocolate sauce and caramel, it was okay, maybe would have been better plain. Would try again! They always seem to have one vegan flavor in addition to the sorbets which is really cool.Vegetarian options: Rotating vegan flavor and sorbets
Hard to believe a walk-up ice cream stand is busy in January, even late on a Tuesday night! But yep, it's just that good...a Missoula icon!! Every flavor from cardamom to mocha chip, even mojito sherbet!!

If you’re in Missoula this is one of those need-to-go places. It’s a classic, with some of the best ice cream in Missoula, possibly even the best. If you do visit expect a line but it’s worth the wait. Big Dipper is a wonderful treat and place during hot summer evenings or really any time.
