In the late 90's when I went to UM this place was my first ever Thai food experience. I think I literally ate here at least twice a week. It's actually some of the best Thai food I've ever had, having lived in Denver, Tokyo and Seattle, so I always make an effort to eat here when I'm in town.I was planning on visiting again in October but sadly just read that they will be closing. If you're in Missoula you must try this place before it's gone.
Visited on 08/02/21 at about 1:30pm and will NOT be returning specifically because of the cashier Bella. My girlfriend had walked in to place a to-go order and Bella was extremely rude and deeming. From aggressively ripping the ticket out of my girlfriends hand to giving snarky responses when she was asked simple questions, Bella needs an attitude and personality adjustment considering we could tell she hated her job from the 45 second interaction we had with her. Don’t work somewhere you have to deal with people if you’re already a dirt bag of a human being.
Its always the best food.
Curry Chicken is excellent.
We wanted some authentic Thai cuisine. We were surprised that this was "deli" style but the quality of the food made us forget counter ordering in seconds. Every bite was superb. I had peanut chicken curry, teriyaki chicken, white rice, lo Mein and an egg roll. My spouse had Tom yum soup, a Chinese long been dish and the peanut curry. We both enjoyed every bite. On a spicy scale - everything was 3 or 3.5 on a 5 point scale. There was Sriracha on the tables if you needed more spice and spice flakes at the counter. Service was excellent. Ended the meal with some Thai Iced Tea. It was perfect.
So delicious! Took the time to explain food and gave great recommendations. Excellent pricing as well!
I just moved to Missoula and my hometown is known for its great Thai food so I was interested to see how it would vary down here. Sa Wad Dee absolutely lived up to my expectations, great food & great staff.
Try the crispy salad! Such amazing local people working here and they deserve some love for the dinner shift! Please enjoy some pad thai also. Thank you Sa-Wa-Dee!
Absolutely worst restaurant I have ever experienced. Food was terrible and they only had a limited menu. Would not recommend for anybody
The food and service were amazing! This was our first time here - definitely going back! Don't be fooled by the quiet, unassuming appearance from the street - dynamite Thai food is waiting inside!
Stopped in on a Saturday about 2:00 p.m. Waiter was gracious and friendly. Very helpful with the fantastic menu. Much to pick from. Several curry dishes. Don't miss the vegetable spring rolls! Simple item but served perfectly hot and crispy with a wonderful sweet and sour sauce. The chicken pad Thai was excellent. I love late lunches at sweet restaurants like this. Only disappointment is that we didn't leave room for dessert!
The best Thai you'll ever thai. Been hooked since 1999.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
A top scene for tasty thai food. Great spot for an appetite of any size. Service is consistently above par.
waited almost one hour for my food. That is pretty extreme, somehow people that came after me got thir food first. Street parking not always available
