Both the bar staff and kitchen staff are phenomenal. Fun vibe, and staff has a great sense of humor

Had the cheese steak and fries. Just ok. Women's bathroom smelled like urine and had all kinds of nasty graffiti in the stalls.

Quick bite before a show. Was exactly what we all didn't know we wanted. Due to long wait lines elsewhere, we decided to try Union Club. We were not disappointed. Will be back the next time in town.

Chill atmosphere, pool tables well taken care of with new felt, and Kal was excellent behind the bar. I couldn’t have felt more at home.

All of the bartenders are so lovely and sweet, especially Kal !!! No matter what I can count on the staff here to make me feel welcome and safe. I've been coming to this bar for years, and I'll be coming back forever! Most caring, badass bartenders in this town <3p.s. kal plays the best music :o

Went to enjoy food and atmosphere but can’t rate those due to the horrible and extremely rude service of the bartender Kal. I have never experienced worse service anywhere in town and won’t be returning anytime in the near future. Her behavior and attitude were absolutely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional.

I rate UC very highly, with one caveat for anyone with a neurological or neuromuscular disability. It is the contemporary reincarnation of the Top Hat of the 70s. It is a union bar and part of the labor temple. It has a diverse crew and very diverse clientele. The daily food specials are made on site and are delicious. Great bands on Fridays & Saturdays. It is wheelchair accessible and the establishment is ADA-compliant other than discriminating against people with narcolepsy. Since that condition only afflicts 1 in 2000 people, it's something that apparently doesn't cause them much concern. They're willing to incur the small risk of being sued or administratively fined, rather than have patrons witness a customer in a short bout of cataplexy or drowsiness and have patrons think the bar has overserved the person...who is wide awake and not impaired when the brief episode abates in a few seconds to couple minutes. So, if you're afflicted with a "normal" disability, wheelchair-bound, etc., you'll find the accessibility refreshing. If you have MS, muscular dystrophy, narcolepsy, Parkinson's, or other neurological or muscular disorder, I expect you'll not be served any beverages containing alcohol. Whether that ADA Title III violation concerns you enough to avoid the place, is up to you. There are other establishments that won't discriminate against you. Other than that, I rate UC very highly and am confident they will cease the discrimination when they get some quality legal advice. The crew is friendly. (And not consuming alcohol there cuts down on the number two cause of cancer).

You hit a point in life where pleasant surprises are rare. Today, I had a very pleasant surprise at The Union Club. I happened to be close by, and their specials board had a Buffalo Bleu Bacon Cheeseburger and fries on it. Wow, was I glad I stopped. I was working, so I had an Arnold Palmer, but behind the bar, they had Buffalo Trace to PBR. The atmosphere was perfect downtown Missoula. Then, my perfectly cooked burger showed up quickly with a mound of fresh cut French fries, lettuce, onion, pickles, to dress the burger as I wished. I would definitely recommend a visit to the Union Club and look forward to visiting it again.

Thoroughly enjoy this low key joint. 2 pool tables, dance floor, live band on Saturday evening, keno/poker machines, & a grill in back to order food. It's tasty too. Tried their chili, chicken strips & fries, & BLT. All tasty! It does get busy on game days so grab a table as soon as you can!

Didn't eat but the martini was first class. Melinda runs the bar like a true pro and makes a visit to the Union Club a nice experience. Love that old Missoula feeling. Not much left of it.

If you consider this a “dive” bar, then I think that just speaks more to your worldview than anything else. Simply put, this place is a Missoula classic and is great in its own unique way just as is, no fancy upgrades needed. Where else will you find such a spacious offering that has good happy hour specials, food, live music, ping pong, pool, and pleasant people all in one establishment? I see the Union as a stronghold of the real Missoula and I hope it never gets replaced with anything else.

We went to the Union Club on my birthday the other night and it was great for the most part. It's a cool place for those who don't judge by looks, lol. The only bummer was that they took away the shake-a-day right before I went up to play it. But hey, I got a free beer for my birthday followed by a comedy show. What more can ya ask for?
