“Everytime I think of this place, I want to go back for more. It's a little busy sometimes, but never unreasonably and the staff has always been friendly. Obviously because the food is so delicious everyone keeps coming back. Their chicken sandwiches are top tier and I'm especially addicted to their sauces!“
“Many nice touches to reasonably priced and well made dishes. The wait staff was attentive, but not too. The scallops were the star. Not to quibble, but sauteed mushrooms are not roasted. The pork was a bit too done, but in all a satisfying meal.“
“This is the #1 spot to brunch in Asheville!! I've come multiple times and had an amazing experience every time. They will accommodate groups and dogs :) The wait can be brutal - I recommend snacking before putting yourself on the waitlist (wait time can be over an hour). They do provide coffees and drink service while you wait. They're also very willing to make changes and substitutes. The fried green tomatoes with goat cheese is always a hit!“
“The reviews were spot on. Great place for dinner. Started with pimento cheese dip and fried green tomatoes. Both were good and pimento cheese was unique due to it being hot. I had the shrimp P.O. boy and it was delicious with very soft bread making it easy to eat. For my side, I didn't go with traditional French fries, I got the chicken tortilla soup. Probably one of the best I've had. Hubby had the fried chicken with collards and gave his a 4 overall. Our friends had the chicken sandwich and avocado toast , both of which were good. We would come back here the next time in Asheville. I have to add that the manager, Matt, was great. The table next to us had a very drunk individual. While he did disrupt us or our dining experience at all, he was loud and obnoxious. The manager quietly exited the table and came over to apologize to us. Again, we were not disturbed at all, but he wanted to make sure that we were ok. Extra star for that!“
“The BEST spot in Asheville for breakfast and lunch on the go. Consistently delicious. Specials are out of this world..staff are extremely friendly. Cool spot, cool people. Meatloaf sandwich, Turkey Ruben, chicken sandwich, breakfast burritos..chef's kiss 10/10 everytime!“
“Best BBQ I've had so far in Asheville!! The pulled pork was very flavorful. I got three sides to try them out: the marinated slaw, the Mac and cheese, and the collard greens. I loved the Mac and cheese. The marinated slaw was pretty good. Better than the most I've had. The collard greens were too vinegary for me but was very good. I will definitely be back!!“
“It was the best loaded biscuit I have ever had. I am a chef and usually critique every restaurant I go to. I have nothing bad to say. The jam bar is the best idea ever!!! Everything is homemade and divine. They pour love into every single ingredient they use, which is why their food is so amazing.“
“I have dined here many times in the past. I love the view of the mountains and the wait staff is always well- trained and friendly. The building is historic and a bonus to enjoy before or after the meal. The food is very good for the price, with an outstanding variety. The crab legs and shrimp alone are enough to make the meal worthwhile. I recommend an early reservation time if noise is an issue.“
“Everything is awesome. (They have mimosa flights!) We had great service even though they were slammed. Our favorite sides were the broccolini and rosemary parmesan potatoes. The rice and beans and gumbo came in a close second. For entrees our group got the spicy chicken sandwich, avocado melt and burger. They were all delicious- rated 5 stars by the family. We wrapped it up with the banana pudding, yum!“
“If you are looking for a great brunch place to eat in Asheville try this little gem of a restaurant that has outdoor or indoor seating available. The outdoor seating is covered in the colder months with heaters out there. This establishment thrives on cooking Cajun style cuisine and I was throughly impressed with my shrimp po boy sandwich. The only disappointing part of the whole meal was they had bloody Mary's and I had one but it just tasted like they dumped tomato juice in it. Note to the owner by pre-mixed bloody Mary mixture, so at least it will have a good flavor.“
“This was our first visit to Luella's, but it will certainly not be our last. We made the trip to Asheville to visit REI and decided to give Luella's a try since it was close by, and it turned out to be a great choice. The food was great and the service was excellent. It was a 5 star visit in every way.“
“Pork and chicken bbq were very good come with three types of sauces of which were tasty. Coleslaw was fine but my kids were not a fan of it. Friendly staff and laid-back ambience. Order before seated. Deducted one point because of slippery and greasy floor. It needs deep cleaning.“
“After following them for years, I finally got to try out their food on Sunday at New Belgium in Asheville. I had the fried oyster sandwich. Probably the BEST fried oysters I've every had... tender, crispy and perfect. Unfortunately I couldn't have the sauce that they put with it because it contains milk, and they didn't offer me an alternative. So I just put some crystal hot sauce on it. My husband had the Seintan sandwich (vegan) that was spiced to taste like Italian sausage. He said it was quite good, and would order again.“
“The tradition breakfast I ordered was excellent! Soft scramble eggs were done to perfection. The bacon was more than I had expected. The crusted parmesan potatoes were the best. I was a little disappointed in the Bloody Mary I had ordered. Felt the price was a little steep from what I got. It was tasty nevertheless. It was a little while since I had been to this restaurant . I liked their new open decor!“
“It was a really nice and chill place. We had a great brunch. They handled our group of 11 with ease. If in the area, I’d go back.Kid-friendliness: Our kids were very comfortable and they made concessions with the menu items to accommodate the kids. They pretty much told us tell us how you want it and we can make it.“
“Don’t sleep on Early Girl! Rachel, our server was so much fun and the food was incredible! We live right down the street in West Asheville and have come occasionally, but this will definitely be on a regular rotation, and you can take the at from an Asheville local. My boy had the Apple Cinnamon Bacon Biscuit French and it was the hit of the table. 5 stars, highly recommendDietary restrictions: My wife is gluten free and the fried chicken and waffles being gluten free regardless is very good!Kid-friendliness: 2 boys, ages 9 and 7, wide boothsWheelchair accessibility: My mother in law uses a walker and it was really accessible“
“Chicken salad pita tasty. Garden salad sufficient. Line service queue quick. Plus $3.25 water bottle. Diet coke fountain. Portions could have been more for the price, had to satiate hunger elsewhere afterwards. Maybe that’s their grand plan.“
“If you eat this chicken make sure to have an American flag waving. This is chicken. Fried chicken soooooo good you will start clucking.Eat here. Grab a beer from highlands above and be cool like us locals.Or go to a fast food spot and be lame…“
“Their broasted chicken is so juicy and the flavor is delicious! Really great and super affordable take out to feed a family gathering of 6 for under $55! Pulled pork, 12 pieces of chicken, potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw and yummy hush puppies!“
“Never had a bad meal at Moose! Recently was in town with family and we stopped by. (We have been many times over the years) I ordered the Chicken & Waffles, and my wife had the French Toast. Food was hot, fresh and tasty. Add in a biscuit and you will walk away stuffed and happy!“
“I highly recommend for celiac’s. Phoebe was my waitressat the bar area. She provided great service and was super sweet and welcoming. I had the hot and sweet Gluten Free fried chicken sandwich and fries. It had a balanced heat/ kick but was not overpowering. I also ordered the Paloma mimosa. It was delish! They use separate fryers and toaster. Will come back when I'm in town again.“
“My husband and I visited this restaurant for the first time on our anniversary. There were a lot of people at lunchtime on Sunday, but that didn’t stop us from sitting down at our table right away; we didn’t have to wait. The waitress Carol Y. was very polite, very kind and served us very well. The dishes were amazing, the food was fresh and hot. We had a very good time. We'll definitely come back here again!?“
“Went for brunch; love the decor. Great cocktails; food was yummy, just needed more toast to my bread. We will definitely be back for more. Get the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken; that was a delicious bite ? oh and almost forgot, cinnamon sugar pork rinds!!!“
“Our server wasn't the most conscientious. Coffee was cold...15 mins later, she brought a cup of hot coffee. No iced tea refills. Bacon wasn't crispy, toast was buttered, I asked for "No butter.". She returned the bacon to the kitchen to be cooked well done. My eggs were cold by the time she returned with it and my sour dough toast "not buttered.". She kept returning to the table to get things right; then, she lost our receipt. Couldn't find it. Finally, she located it on another table. First time we experienced a server that didn't have it all together. But. as always the food was great.Wheelchair accessibility: I pushed my Roller Aide. I cannot walk without it. Accommodations were great for the Roller Aide.“
“Visited this amazing place for the first time tonight and it was amazing. I’ve been a baker for almost 20 years and I’ve never tasted a banana pudding like this before. The custard like pudding with the hint of cinnamon, made my tongue do a happy dance. I’ll definitely recommend this place to all my foodies. Thanks for such a great experience!“
