“Live in the High Country and have heard a lot about Gideons Ridge. Decided to celebrate our 52nd Wedding anniversary by having dinner at the RIDGE.The views For were excellent, The service and food was extraordinary, and made for a special very special occasion!”

“My wife and I went for dinner. There were dishes that were amazing and some just ok, but overall a great meal. The service was lackluster. The views and atmosphere make it a pretty amazing experience. Next time we’ll try to get a room before it books up.”

“This food was INCREDIBLE!! We had steak, delicious, done to perfection! I had the trout..pecan crusted..fantastic! Ceaser salad was even extra delicious! Flatbread w steak and cheese...yummy! My green beans were even special!! 5 STARS!Oh, and the drinks were fantastic. We had a coffee specialty alcohol drink. So good. And a perfect Margarita! You will not be disappointed with anything here!”

“Lando's Quick ReviewFood: I loved their Shitake Pie Pizza. It's absolutely covered in toppings, particularly mushrooms and a garlic sauce that I really enjoyed. Their mushroom soup was also very good as a quick appetizer. On a seperate occasion, I also had their Margarita Pizza. It was fantastic as well. Overall, their pizza is fantastic and the crust is to die for.Pricing: Their prices are higher than most pizza places, but if you all split a large pizza, it is still cheaper as opposed to getting 3-4 seperate dishes at most other restaurants. You can easily get out for $30 if you all split a pizza.Service: The person we had wait on us was very friendly and attentative. No complaints or anything to mention.Atmosphere: Nothing crazy here but it was very clean and pretty cool. Not a hole in the wall by any means.Parking: Parking can be scarce during the Summer Season. You may need to park far away and walk there.”

“Service was great. Disappointed with the trout. Almost like they were afraid to season it. My wife and I had two different trout preparations and the fish was fine but both were very bland. Sides were delicious. Great selection of craft beers.”

“We have enjoyed The Best Cellar many times over the years and it remains consistently good. This time we had a small group and sat in the cellar. It was a bit chilly but not unbearable. We ordered three different steaks, each person preferring their choice, which was a bit humorous as the idea was to share. Each steak was cooked to perfection and had great flavor. For desert we ordered the banana cream pie. You can tell how good it was given the lack of a picture. Did not have a chance! The service was outstanding as well. If you are in Blowing Rock this is a great place.”

“We had one of the best dining experiences we have had to date. Our serving professional Cody was so knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. We had the Grouper and scallops and neither my husband nor I wanted our meal to be over. It was just excellent. “So good, we went back the next night. Stayed in Blowing Rock just two nights and after our first dinner at The Moon, we had to go back and try more of the menu. Great flavors, friendly and attentive staff, and cozy atmosphere set in the mountain. Like carved into it. Having lived in flat Wisconsin, we got a kick out of the hilly driveway and parking area. Overall really enjoyable experience.”

“The restaurant was very clean yet vacant. The sole employee was pleasant, talkative, professional, and welcoming. He was the employee Subway should be proud of. It's is disheartening to see that this location has limited hours and this awesome employee was working alone. Come on Subway, you have a great location and a base for good employees. Do your part and help this location succeed as it deserves.Parking: Lots of parking. Too much for lunch time”

“FOOD TRUCK REVIEW: i havent been to the restaurant because i dont live close enough to make it when theyre open (due to my work schedule). However, whenever the food truck is in town i go! Theyre so nice and the egg rolls are amazing. Definitely support this fantastic, family owned, local business either at the restaurant or the truck! You wont be disappointed!!”

“It was an all around wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful and polite, they made me feel very welcome.The food was delicious as well as the beer. We started with fried pickles and then I had the Turkey Ruben on Pumpernickel bread with fries and my husband had the Shepherd's Pie.We will most definitely be coming back.”
