“Cherry Pop's Soda Shop is THE spot to visit in Catawba, heck, all of NC if you want that retro flair! The food is immaculate and makes you want more. The drinks, sweets, and other baked goods are out of this world and out of this time. Everything is perfect; I have never, EVER been served something I don't like in my many visits to Cherry Pop's. I can't even go a month without visiting this place. They even have seasonal menus, so drop by when your favorite holiday is rolling around the corner. The people are HEAVENLY. They treat you like family, they treat you like you belong in their store. Everything from the food, to the people, to the gorgeous atmosphere make this a staple of Catawba; I LOVE Cherry Pop's Soda Shop!”

“Catawba is blessed to have its own version of “Cheers” - where everybody knows your name. Run by a wonderful young family, you always feel at home and, GREAT nonstandard “bar food”, always prepared just right. Eclectic selection of adult beverages. “I am surprised by the negative reviews. We started coming to Waterside when the construction of our house nearby began in late 2022. We have eaten lunch, dinner and gotten take out on many occasions. Shrimp tacos, hotdogs, and wings are our favorites, but everything is good and the service has been great. Were retired and really enjoyed the bands a couple of Mondays ago. Nothing fancy, which is fine with us. I’m sure they make some mistakes like the rest of us, but we really love our local bar and grill!”

“My only gripe with this place is that they had a UFC match playing on a big screen TV. I don't have a problem with UFC, but a bunch of people beating the hell out of each other isn't exactly appropriate for a family restaurant with lots of kids around.”

“Tried Lkn Cheesecake in Lincolton and it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious! We tried the Peach cobbler crumble, blueberry crumble, strawberry crunch & Oreo mint cheesecake! Slices are $8 and whole cheesecakes are $55! We will definitely be going back to try more flavors!”

“Good to have a slightly healthier choice locally. Food is better during the week than on the weekend. The rice quinoa base is usually mushy on the weekend but perfect during weekdays. Sunday, the chicken in my bowl had no sticky coating which I really like. It seemed just rinsed in some bland marinade. Service with a smile and timely.”

“Some of the best food out there! The Diavlo wrap is my favorite. And I haven’t tried a pasta sauce here I haven’t liked. They are all delicious. The arribiatta, Alfredo, and bolognese are the best in my opinion and in that order.”

“We’ve been here a couple times and the food is always good. We’ve noticed that service has diminished since our first visit and I can’t really explain it. Last time we were there it really wasn’t very busy, but barely seen our server. Had to get other servers to help on a couple occasions. Hopefully they can get the service back to where it used to be so it’s as good as the food.Great location right on the lake. Parking can get interesting if it’s a busy day and you’re not there early.”

“The Boxcar Grille is a staple in the Claremont community and in Catawba County. The food is good. The best part is the salad bar. The service is decent. You may have to wait a little bit. But the wait staff is always nice. The atmosphere is top notch, and they have remodeled somethings which has given it a fresh look.”

“Came here on a Wednesday for wing night special. I had part teriyaki and part buffalo wings. Service was good and the wings were delicious. Also they had a DJ and we played music bingo. My son won a hat and a 10.00 gift card. Most likely will go back!Parking: Very little street parking. We parked in the back in a dark lot and came in the back door. Back door you walk by the grease trap and the stuff you usually don’t see at a restaurant. I felt it was not ideal.Kid-friendliness: Kids seemed very welcome here. Had food for kids as well.”

“I would like to share my family's experience at a restaurant we visited today. We're the Hall family and It was our first time there, and I have to say we were quite impressed! Our waiter, Mark, had a great sense of humor and was very polite. I also appreciated the manager, Ms. Amber, who introduced herself and was extremely sweet and professional. The atmosphere was just perfect - very positive and family-friendly. We had such a good time that we're already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!”

“I grew up in a small town and there was a diner run by a Dad and Mom and the kids. This was that diner. It consists of: give your order, grab your drinks, retrieve your meal when announced and bus your table. I loved it. The folks were kind and willing to tell me the history of a family run business since 1932. And my breakfast, heaped with goodness, for under $10. It all screams: welcome home.”

“This was my first time trying this place and it did NOT disappoint! We ordered the cheese bread, pepperoni Stromboli, and the M&M dessert pie. We started with the cheese bread and it was incredible! Super cheesy and perfectly seasoned! The pepperoni Stromboli was 100% the star of the show! It was huge (worth the price) and it was FILLED with tons of cheese and pepperoni! We tried it with their house made ranch and they get bonus points for having great ranch ? the Stromboli was amazing, the slight spiciness of the pepperoni and the cheesiness was a perfect balance. And finally we finished off with the M&M pie, it was good! It was a chocolate chip dessert pizza with M&Ms baked into it! It came with an extra cup of icing for anyone with an extra sweet tooth! Overall this place, the people, and the food are a 10/10! The only thing to be aware of is on the website some of the prices and pictures are not updated to the current prices and presentation of products! But no points deducted on my end because Elise did inform me they’re in the process of changing some things on the website around. I will definitely be back here very soon to try some more of their menu items!”

“I have had the best experiences at The Coffee Lodge since I found it. If you’re a frequent a coffee shop goer, you’ll recognize this place has just such a great cozy vibe. The owner is extremely nice and welcoming. Any other staff I’ve encountered has been friendly and attentive. They did a great job providing ample flexible seating areas to accommodate socializing or getting work done. Even the patrons are friendly and neighborly feeling. I’ve enjoyed the lavender latte, dirty chai latte, strawberry smoothie and mini cinnamon buns. All of its been delicious.”

“I visited Don's Grill for the first time a few days ago. The atmosphere is very homey and cozy. The staff was really friendly and checked on our needs often! The food is very tasty and comes out piping hot and exactly as ordered, which is fantastic. There are a lot of options and there are different daily specials to choose from. The milkshakes are wonderfully thick and come in a wide variety of flavors! You can dine in or call in an order and pick it up at the window or you can order at the window and wait for your order. I will definitely be back.Kid-friendliness: It is just a friendly and relaxed place.”

“Small town restaurant go to for your bar-b-que and smoked meats. Bar-b-que chopped was moist perfect amount of sloppy the bread wasn't soggy and topped with in house made BBQ sauce and BBQ slaw. I wanted smoked chicken half or quarter and had asked about the chicken plate but the clerk didn't really elaborate. Great choice and worth the drive.”
