I'm from Uniondale New York, I grew up with a place called Gino's pizza, it was a mom and pop pizzeria ran by an old Italian couple. Gino's pizza is the standard that I hold all other pizza to. So finding amazing pizza, that harkens back to the amazing cheese and tomato sauce that Ginos had is difficult.This brings us to Magones. I can’t believe I’ve never visited this place before and always ordered pizza from somewhere else. This is hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had in Chapel Hill. I’m looking forward to trying their other menu items. Definitely recommending this spot to all my friends.

Stopped in for lunch and had a solid chicken parm sandwich with tasty fries. I also tried the zucchini fritti appetizer and cannot say enough great things about it. The zucchini fries were fresh and crisp, unlike typical restaurant fried zucchini; I'd go back just for this appetizer!I also had a piece of the chocolate pumpkin cake, layers of chocolate cake combined with layers of pumpkin, also very tasty.I would recommend Magone's without hesitation.
