“This is the BEST Mexican restaurant we have found since relocating to the Outer Banks area. The meals we ordered were plentiful and bursting with phenomenal flavor! Salsa and chips are also so fresh and have a clean crisp flavor! Plenty of friendly staff and they all look out for each other attending the tables. Our waiter was great! He was friendly, had a great sense of humor and always made sure everything was good, frequently asking if we needed anything. Mi Cancun is run extremely efficiently! Highly recommend!“
“My wrestling team ate here after the river city invitational. The customer service was great and the food looked amazing, especially the Birria tacos, the chips and salsa were just what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. However I was cutting weight, so I didn’t order anything. I think the waitress thought I didn’t have any money, so she brought an order of birria tacos saying they made them by mistake; which I regrettably and sadly declined. I wish I had left a tip, but she was actually right, I didn’t have my wallet ?.“
“For health reasons a few months ago I went vegetarian/vegan for the most part. On the menu is Fajitas Vegetarianos which is sautéed onions, peppers, carrots, zucchini and broccoli, perfectly seasoned accompanied with warm flour tortillas and served with3wnb rice, beans and sour cream salad. So, so good! I usually get the food to go so I can't speak on the table service but at the front desk, the host/'server was pleasant, and restaurant looked clean.“
“This place has changed over the years just as any other place has. Started out amazing big portions and all then slacked off over time but face it ppl all places have this happen to then. But now there new man running made it banging once again . Love the place best in town. Great service food is spot on and if you truly want find out go yourself. This place is a keeper and for the ppl saying not going anymore sorry to hear that your missing out. But lucky for myself and others that love this place means won't wait to get seated. Keep up good work my brothers“
“This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in this area and surrounding area! If you want authentic, this is it. We will only eat at LA Tiendita for Mexican from now on. Amazing job to all the cooks and servers!Parking: Just park anywhere you can. Even if you can park close by and walk a little. You can park all the way around the building. Parking on each side.“
“Big Boss is very good, he is a fresh air in this boring town. The food is good although it is not traditional Mexican, but I understand that one has to adapt to the market and its consumers. The girl at the bar is almost always an African American and has a good vibe, the guys in the kitchen who speak Spanish are both great and well the girl who takes the order is indifferent, the poor thing but not everything can be perfect... the boss walks around the counter greeting, picking up plates and asking if everything is okay. The best of the best is that they have Dominican beer “Presidente” never remove it please!!“
“Incredible sandwiches, very, very good. You get your money's worth. The sandwiches were that big we ate half for dinner and the other half for lunch, and the rolls for the sandwiches were the best we found anywhere in town. Thank you for a great meal will visit more.“
