“I had some plans to meet some friends in Forest City so i googled coffee shops and found this one! When i saw the picture of the vault i knew i had to go. I tried an iced vanilla chai latte for the first time and it was soooooo good! I said in the pink chair by the window and read my book for a while. I loved the atmosphere and the music. I will be back to try a sweet!”

“Just like always, good food and good service and plenty of both. I tried grilled salmon for my 1st time tonight(dietary restrictions due to hypertension), it was ok, I don't have any comparison it was my 1st. But I've had several other dishes and my wife's 2 way combo with fried scallops and shrimp was great, I cheated and had 2 of the scallops, they were out the back door off the chain! My go to "fish camp" nowadays!Parking: Get there early or come late, if the restaurant is full so is the parking lot but there's a bank and other business right next door where parking is available. “Finally tried Mario's, and I'm upset with myself for waiting so long. Having spent quite a bit of time in the Mediterranean with the Navy, it's refreshing to get the "farmhouse" experience again! Mario's is a super typical, ambiance neglected family style restaurant that you find everywhere in Southern Italy. The owners, despite the length of time spent in the US, run it just like they would back in the old country. Almost no staff, 70's and 80's decor, random music you can barely hear playing from decades old speakers...and the most authentic tasting Italian food I've had in a very long time. Everything about Mario's is utterly perfect for what it is. If you know, you know. And it is blessing they are located in Forest City NC. The lack of a broader customer base is allowing them to continue running the restaurant the way they want to, rather than watering it down to appease sheer masses. If you are in the mood for your Italian Grandma to complain you are looking too thin and to "Eat! Eat!" as she gives you two people's worth of food on a single plate...Mario's is your place!”

“Burgers are thick and juicy, fresh toppings. The chicken wrap is perfect. The wrap is not too thick. The chicken is seasoned, not over seasoned like most places and cooked just right. The fries are fresh not frozen and the onions rings are the good ones. Pepsi is on tap!”

“Eat at the Depot on Sundays on a regular basis. Always great food,staff and service. Best roast beef ever next to Mama's. And this is a big SHOUT OUT to the DEPOT!!!Another plus they have a drive around the restaurant for to go orders. This moves very well.Parking: All kinds of parking”

“Food was fantastic! I got a number 14 and the chili Reno came out wrapped in a soft thin dough ball, which I've never seen before, but it was delicious. “Hometown sort of dining experience featuring homemade chicken entrées and more, with great vegetable sides, bar with beer on tap, kids' menu, highchairs...etc. Dated interior and furnishings but that just adds all the more to its charm and relaxed atmosphere. “My wife and I usually eat at the Snack Shop at least once a week, the food is always great. We ate there last night and our waitress told us that Louie had added some things to the daily menu, Crab stuffed Flounder, Crab stuffed Shrimp and a steak, I ordered the stuffed Flounder, and was I ever pleased, it was undescribably good, can't wait to try the stuffed shrimp. It was crunchy, creamy and just delicious. 5/5My son and I both had burgers and both of them were super okay but let me explain. I ordered the bourbon bacon burger and my son the cowboyBurger. Both were perfectly cooked. Both were perfectly seasoned but had the most important of hamburger fatal flaws: a stale bun. I don’t care howGood the burger is, if the bun sucks it’s all for naught. Can I get an AMEN?In seriousness, this place would’ve been a 5 if the bun was better. I’d certainly come back but wouldn’t get anything on a bun again.Service was exceptional.”

“Really great interior. Nicely lit and very colorful. The chairs really stand out but in a good way. The food was great! I wasn't sure what to expect as someone just passing through boiling springs but If you're in the mood for Mexican food it definitely satisfies. Whatever that yellow salsa is is spicy but so delicious. I had the chicken burrito California, the chicken was seasoned well and the beans were delicious. The pico de gallo was tasty and the guac wasn't too salty. They have really big beers and mixed drinks. The prices were honestly a sight for sore eyes. They weren't charging an arm and a leg for a burrito and a beer. Will definitely mark this place in the maps and be stopping by anytime I'm in the area!”

“I love this place and it's one that I'd call a throw back joint. It's not fancy and it looks like it's been here serving locals for a long time. My wife and I left a funeral home in nearby Sandy Mush, N.C. We had to attend a visitation. After this we were a bit hungry. I suggested Mickey D's! She wanted something more original. It's a hamburger joint that also serves various meat and three's. She got a hamburger with lettuce tomato and mayo. I tried two hotdogs and they were solid! We each had fries and sweet tea. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable! I'll be back!”

“While this place may not look like much, especially compared to Sakuras across the road. Time and time again this restaurant ends up satisfying me better than all other Japanese restaurants in Forest City. They have both the best tasting and the cheapest priced food in the area in regards to Japanese food. I cannot recommend them enough (not to mention their service is very good, too).”

“These donuts are amazing! The prices are a little on the higher side, but you really pay for the size difference compared to your normal sized donut. The one and only reason they donut (yes,intentional and you can chuckle with me) get 5 stars is because they ALWAYS run out of the more popular donuts way too early.”
