“Honestly I love this place. I’ve went a couple times the past week or so and I’ve enjoyed every time. The head lady is sweet as ever and really knows how to make you feel at home. I usually get the carne asada fries, Jesus their good. I’ve also had their old Philly steak sandwich and it was absolutely amazing (not sure if they still sell it) anyway I would definitely recommend the place. It’s small but really cozy and their food is really good. You won’t regret it :)“
“Am I pushing it to give a place five stars? Yes. I should really go 4.5. What I can say is that this is not only the best BBQ is Gaston County, it ranks near the top in the State of North Carolina. I eat BBQ across the country, and this is worthy of mention anywhere.Meats are nicely smoked, and moist, the sides are great. So far I've only had brisket and pork, both were outstanding. I go for Greens and baked beans always, and they are good here; but would like to try other items. You can get banana pudding as a side.Banana Pudding... Theirs is good maybe 3.5-4.I'm very picky about banana pudding. I always get some if available - a BBQ restaurant is judged by this - , and I make banana pudding also. “I honestly feel ashamed that I haven't written a review sooner. This is my favorite place to eat in the world. I get so frustrated with normal restaurants and their lack of quality, or if they deign to give me quality, to make me pay an arm and a leg for it. This restaurant gives me fresh, REAL, incredibly flavorful food every single time for an incredibly reasonable price. I try to treat myself to a meal here at least once a week, but often find myself going more. Excuse the poor food photography, but the picture below is a fresh housemade brussel sprout salad that explodes with flavor, and a grilled chicken sandwich perfectly cooked with a brioche bun, topped with caramelized Onions, Tomato Jam, avocado, mixed Greens Feta/Mozzarella Cheese Blend and Garlic Herb Aioli. The first bite sent me to heaven, the second bite made me realize what a fool I've been for not writing a review sooner. I love this place and the chef here deserves every award for quality food possible. “They've been working hard to get this place open in the new location and it's awesome. I've seen people complain about prices, but I don't think they realize how much stuff has gone up since groovy beast was at the old location. I think the prices are fair, food is excellent, and great selection of local beers on tap.Also, I saw someone complain about the cheese steak not having real cheese... it literally says cheese sauce in the description, and that's how a proper cheese steak is served in Philly... with cheese sauce.I recommend the fried mushrooms... only place you can get them this good in town.“

Nice location for the ballpark too.Parking: The location has limited spots, but the city has created parking along the street. I'm not sure if there is a cost as we got a spot in the lot.“

Conversations with those working is always interesting and if you are lucky, someone has good tunes playing on the jukebox. “What a cutie little grill tucked away inside of a pharmacy and shop! Stopped in and had a quick bite, chicken salad sandwich on toast! It was tasty! They have many options (including breakfast until 11) and daily specials! Grill closes at 2pm. There is also a little shop inside with small gifts and cards for special occasions. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I will return!“
“Fabulous first time here. Lived in the area two years and just now got around to trying it. A touch loud for me but it’s expected being a bar and grill vibe with tvs and music going. The food was DELICIOUS! When they say it’s fresh in house they mean it. Good drinks, great service. The manager even came over to talk since it was our first time there. We will be back.“

“Quite a strange name of the place. Pelicans are avian of temperate weather zones. Snowballs are typically in a colder climate zone. So .. Mixing the two gives it a whimsical avant garde atmosphere. “Excellent food, fast and friendly service, prices are decent. I really don't have anything negative to say about my first time eating here! I got the southern philly and my boyfriend got the fried pickle philly. Both were amazing and fresh but his was delectable, I'll get the fries pickle philly next time. My friend got the buffalo chicken pita and it was stuffed full of chicken and a delicious looking sauce. Their fries were a lot like cookout fries (which is a good thing imo) and I got the cucumber salad which was refreshing and delicious and also fun alternative for the usual side of fries. “My husband and I went there just to try the food not knowing that this was a bar and grill where everybody Gathers after work felt a little bit out of place because we're the only African Americans in there LOL but they made us feel very comfortable in there and the food was wonderful the people were great they were very welcoming I enjoyed it my husband enjoyed it he loves the burger a good burger and the burger he tried was a dirty Burger oh my God this burger was huge the food was wonderful even the drinks , they were okay overall we will be back again and a big UPS to Mr Jason he was the cook and he came out and greeted us and made us feel welcome thank you and will be back again “

“Great experience. The team members were all nice. I did have an issue with my lamb chops coming out cold , but there were also others dining with me, and they did not have that issue. When I brought it up. They immediately fixed the issue and when my plate returned, it was hot, and the food was so good. I'd definitely be back.“

“It's the waffle house and most of the time you are leaving a bar and needing to get something to eat and sober up, so if you ate at one of them then you have eaten at all of them (unless they are not able to cook eggs and waffles) but they were friendly, the waffles wasn't burnt, and the main thing was it was clean. “This was our first visit to the Gastonia location, but we hadn't been (Charlotte) in about ten years. The food was delicious. My only issue was that the Power Bowl salad with the added "Blackened Tuna" option was actually Ahi Tuna, and I was not informed by our server. Nor was I asked by the waitress what temperature I wanted it cooked. That would have given me a clue ... It came to me raw. I'm going thru chemo at the moment, so raw seafood is a 100% no-go. Soooo back to the kitchen it went. Sadly. However, the well-done version that returned was delicious. My hubby said the Nachos were very good. (It's one of his favorite items to order). We bought 10 gift cards, so I guess we'll be returning! Alyssa was very attentive and friendly. We'll be requesting her in the future.“

“It was my wife's birthday and she wanted to go here. It was our first time dining here and we've heard so many good things about WCK. Our food was awesome. We accidentally received an appetizer that was meant for someone else. We thought it was complimentary, being that it was our first time dining there. We didn't touch it and asked if it could go to the appropriate people. They let us keep it. It was the best cheesy bread I've ever eaten. We also had another appetizer with fried green tomatoes and pork belly on top, as well as sweet corn sprinkled on. Absolutely amazing ?. We were given a brief history about the building WCK occupies. It was fascinating. Our entrees arrived, I had the medallions cooked medium and she had the crab cake. I have absolutely no complaints and we will be going back.“
