“This restaurant is wonderful. The tonkotsu ramen was rich and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the fresh sushi and delicious oyster shots. Any fan of ramen or Japanese food in general should try this place. It's a little pricey but it's worth it.“
“The food has always been amazing here, the rolls, the hibachi is always great. The service can be either great or okay, as someone who's worked in the food industry I get it because anytime we go it's packed. I love the inside of the restaurant, the dim lights make it look like there's a mystery.I love it!“
“Stopped here yesterday for lunch and the food was just okay. My Don Tonkatsu had a good flavor but was very haphazardly put together. An attraction of Japanese cuisine is it's neat and orderly presentation which this Don definitely was not. It looked like the sauce was through it a bowl, a dollop of rice added and then the pork (in chunks not slices it seemed) thrown in the bowl, followed by the stirred egg thrown on top. Again the flavor was good but presentation was lacking - after all that's why you go to a Japanese restaurant!“
“I recently moved here from New York and have been exploring local dining options. I came across Nagoya and was thoroughly impressed by their reasonable prices, generous portions, and high-quality food. I highly recommend trying it out; I've been dining there almost every day for the past week.“
“Our inaugural visit to Sushi Republic left us with mostly positive impressions. The parking situation can be a tad tight, especially for larger SUVs navigating the ramp. However, for most vehicles, it’s manageable. The food offerings were decent overall. We particularly enjoyed the fried calamari and found the fried udon to be excellent. The sushi and sashimi platter impressed us with its freshness, although it’s worth noting that they don’t use traditional vinegar rice like authentic Japanese sushi. The fried rice was a standout—flavorful and satisfying. On the other hand, the chicken skewer and fried tuna mushroom left us somewhat underwhelmed. The restaurant’s atmosphere and service, however, were delightful. For Americanized Japanese cuisine, the food quality is commendable. Plus, the pricing is quite reasonable. Overall, a positive experience.“
“The food was amazing and the chicken was hot, fresh, and delicious. It takes awhile for your order to come out so I would recommend ordering ahead. My only concern is that I did not see a gratuity charge on the menu and was surprise to find one on my recipe when I ordered at the counter with four of my friends with each of us placing separate orders at the kiosk. I would return just maybe without them so I am not surprised by the extra charge.“
“They have the Best coconut shrimp. The hibachi buffet is great. The food is starting to taste a little different from what it did before. It seems like the restaurant is getting more “Americanized” , instead of sticking with their own international selections and seasonings. But still, an overall great restaurant for the family or for someone who doesn’t know exactly what they want to eat.“
“My first time visiting, but it won't be my last! We had a large party of 8 for a birthday. Service was great! Our server was very attentive despite being so busy with us and other tables. Food was amazing ! Lots of variety and of course cooking at the table was a new experience so it added to the delight.“
“Best japanese food place ever! Their food taste amazinggg. Me and, my husband love going here for lunch and, dinner. We had order to go food. Customer service is good even though it was a long wait but it wasn’t their fault &&’ we don’t mind waiting patiently for our order unlike two of the other customers who were being very rude, ignorant, and entitled towards the workers which was really annoying but other than that highly recommended this place! ?“
“I am from Eden NC, so when i have an appointment in greensboro i get something to eat from a local restaurant. Today was Poke Bowl. Salmon, tuna, mango, cucumber and avocados. I haven't been to this one yet. Didnt realize it was in the downtown area. So i wasnt ready for non existing parking.I ordered online. The gentleman at the front must have had somethings on his mind as he wasnt very friendly. The bowl was yummy. Fish was very fresh as was the rest of the ingredients. It was a tad more expensive than another local place that services poke bowls.Parking: Downtown, very few spaces.“
“The best underrated seafood in the city great prices food is always great from the seafood boil bag and the hibachi is always great and stays hot even when traveling from 1 side of town to the other. Oh, and when asking for hot or hot extra hot believe you will get that when talking spices in the seafood boil ? just not many will hit the mark in the city, and glad they did. Please never change the quality of food to match these other so-called "good" seafood boil places“
“Wonderful dining experience. The presentation was beautiful and the sashimi and rolls were fresh and delicious. The ambience is great for date night. We split a bottle of hot sake. I wasn’t a fan of the type of music playing but that’s my only complaint!“
“Staff was nice and attentive .....the hibachi chef we had was very cool...social....he even did a smoking choi choo train of fire...instead of the traditional volcano. Food was great! I had filet...chicken..and shrimp.....it comes with noodles and fried rice and veggies....i was super full and had leftovers for work the next day. Sorry no pics....but i personally think its better than Arigatos? ....which i love....but hey...i said what i said!?Parking: Odd shaped parking lot. But normally plenty of spaces ..if they are full...i park next door“
“My wife and I ate here the day after eating at Poke Bowl for the first time and all we could say is that we wished it wasn't the first time. The food was fresh and awesome. The service was quick despite the lunch rush and the dining area was clean. I can't say enough about the menu in terms of value. Compared to other comparable options in town, this place jumped to the top of list of portion-to-quality value for the price! Will definitely be dining here again!“
“Love this place for a quick hibachi steak and unlimited white sauce. The husband is the cook and wife usually is the cashier. Unpretentious authentic place. My husband got the shrimp and steak. You can get white rice or fried rice. I can make two meals for one order. They serve a big portion. The steak is not dry. I would have to try the scallop next time. Everytime we fly in to visit family here in NC we always make sure to stop by to get a taste. The vegetables are also good. Nit soggy.“
“Food is tasty and prices are reasonable. Service is friendly. I've ordered takeout from here multiple times. I think it's great.Note: as of today (6-23-2023), the wrong phone number (336-668-2038) is listed in the profile. The correct number is 336-542-0089.“
“amazin, I am not making this up, the food is really hot temper hot, rare these days. 12 out of 10. Overall on the food. Words can't describe.Glad I took a chance to come here for the first time and I'm highly happy and satisfied with my experienc. I wrote this as I was eating no lie. Highly recommend. Blows everything out the water, Reviews are high but I feel it's still highly underrated. Prices are Unbeatable. This place is God Sent.“
“This is one of my favorite places ever! The food is always hot and yummy. They give a good amount of rice, soup and vegetables but could add a little more protein to the dishes for what they charge. The family that owns it is very sweet and always speaks! Food is always ready when you're told it is. Great food and I will continue to eat there.“
“We stopped here on a road trip late lunch. While this is a no frills place, we had excellent food and service for a shockingly good price -$11 for steak and shrimp hibachi, plus soup or salad. We rolled in at 2:15 and we're the only diners at this late time, but our food was cooked to order and was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Don't be sketched out, this is a gem in Greensboro! I can't wait to go back.“
“Great quality and high grade sushi all around. The menu was full of baked/fried sushi rolls. We would rather have more options for traditional raw rolls. Overall, the selection that was available for raw nigiri/sashimi/rolls was excellent. Service was great with friendly staff. Comfortable and casual atmosphere for our whole family to enjoy including our kids.“
“I love going to this place with my friends since it’s a really good location and the service is very fast. The hibachi chicken is my favorite and definitely the best in gso because the chicken is juicy and the rice is perfectly good. Good friendly service!“
“The food we got here was pretty fairly priced! You paid for what you got. The place was fast and got our food out in a fashionably timed manner. I think it's more so a quick grab and go type restaurant rather than sit down, though there are some seats inside for eating, like 3 tables of 4.“
“An absolute hidden gem— how come I’ve never heard of this restaurant? The inside was beautiful; white cloth tables, cultural interior designs, etc. This spot is perfect for a date night. We enjoyed the lovely service and food. Would love to visit again. You are provided warm hands towels after eating and I thought that was a very thoughtful touch to the service.Parking: We could not find parking on a Thursday night, so I could just imagine the weekend. This restaurant is located near other busy spots.“
“The restaurant has a wide variety of authentic Chinese food dishes. The seafood is very fresh. My brother and I went to China Buffet 4 times during our 7 days in Greensboro for the High Point Market. Highly recommend if you are looking for good chinese food.“
“I go here with the family a few times a year. Always great food! They have THE BEST scallops I have ever had in my life and I consider myself a bit of a food snob. Every other hibachi place I’ve been to undercooks them and under seasons scallops and they’re just gross and tasteless. Even if you don’t like scallops, try them here. It’s a bit fishy, being from a type of clam, but if you like shrimp you’ll like their scallop. Always have fun. Make sure to be very precise about the alcoholic drinks you order, unless it’s directly at a bar. It’s hard to hear in there and they’ve gotten my order wrong a couple of times. They’re always willing to happily rectify the error though so I’m not going to fault them for mistakes we could all make.“
“The ramen here is superb! It's so good that I went two days in the same week. The tonkotsu is rich and delicious, and the Tan Tan might be even better, and it's quite spicy! The amount of chashu in the bowl is very generous, and its so tender and delicious. Highly recommended!“
