The best southern hospitality we have received since being in NC for over 2 months! The hostess, her name started with a K and she likes to knit, was seriously the sweetest hostess we have EVER encountered. I mean EVER. We felt so beyond welcomed. Our server was funny, witty, and efficient. Honestly we had never been here before and decided to go on a whim. Highly recommend for your next date night or family night!!

Food was cold, and manager refused to heat it. Waitress did her best. Will not go back, because other restaurants reheat cold food. Manager did not offer to provide a replacement or offer free meal. Will not go back and will advise friends. Party of two on February 11 at lunch. Ordered sub & chips and pizza. Don’t have receipt.

Basil’s is cute and cozy. They get busy quick and because of the space it can get packed pretty quickly. They are working on the parking lot, soooo there isn’t much parking, we parked in the movie parking lot and walked over.At the bar it sits about 6 people and there are a few extra seats behind.Service was ok, until the waiter started throwing straws when he brought our drinks.We were with a party of 10.Chicken & waffles were good.The seafood pasta they were a little stingy with the crab meat and the Philly steak was a lil dry.My crab dip w/dried tomatoes was good.My husband’s meatballs were delicious.The pizza is super cheesy and definitely a bang for your buck!!
We went around lunch time. Even though there were alot of people the service was faster than expected. The buffalo dip and bread it comes with was absolutely delish! Their lunch specials are well proportioned! The lasagna and house salad hit the spot! I would definitely recommend this spot.

My only take away is that if the employees are all gonna huddle in the walk way blocking people from leaving, they could at least acknowledge you when you say excuse me and when you tell them to have a nice day instead of looking at you like you are an inconvenience to them. The food was delicious and our server was polite and friendly.

Basils is always a great place for drinks, apps and pizza! The beer dip is always creamy and delicious. I also love the pita bread wedges that come with it. The meatballs are also good. They aren't heavy on the sauce and it is chunky but they are topped with a layer of cheese so if you are expecting them to be swimming in sauce, they aren't. You can actually taste the meatball vs just tasting the sauce-meatball combo. My husband and I always order the Founder's Pie and Mighty Meaty. We never finish it so it's well worth the price. The pizzas may look small but they are heavily topped and are delicious. The sauce is perfect, not too much or too little and the pies are always heavy on the cheese which is what I like. Nothing beats a great cheese pull on a pizza and these always deliver. I also love how big/bulky the meat toppings are, even the dollops of mozzarella on the Founder's Pie are huge. I highly recommend them for their pizzas and also their cocktails! Ask for the drink menu and check out the daily specials on the back. The Ultimate Cosmo is top tier!Parking: Parking lot just for the restaurant.
