Money is always well spent. Proportions are plentiful, and very good tasty. Fish and shrimp are my choice with okra and potato salad. KUDOS to the chef!

My southern husband adores fried food and I was glad to find this place. The shared kitchen is open for fish Fridays only and we share the fish and shrimp platter, both of which are good, for $11 with two sides. The fries and green beans are nothing special, the okra, mac/cheese, cole slaw, and potato salad are all good. The potatoes aren't particularly good. The guy at the window is very nice. Apparently there's seating inside but we've only done take away.

Been wanting to try this carryout but have never been in town on the days open so planned this trip around their hours. Wanted the chicken and shrimp platter but they didn't have any chicken this day so just had the shrimp platter, good shrimp and fries, coleslaw depends on your taste was too sweet for mine but a good helping if you like it, they substituted the cornbread with white bread which was a real let down when I opened the container as I always look forward to cornbread. All and all ok and would give another chance but make sure they have everything before ordering.

For a great time and delicious food this is the place to visit, once you do there won't be nothing left to say you will be a regular like me. Trust and believe.

I've been trying to catch this place since I noticed them when I first moved to Greenville. Unfortunately, my schedule and their hours never really aligned. I was driving by one evening and saw they were open and pulled over immediately. When I walked up to the window, the lady working warmly greeted me and answered my menu questions. I ordered the shrimp basket with fries, which came with coleslaw. Within 10 minutes, my order was being served. In true COVID fashion, I went to my car, sanitized my hands, and dug in. I always try to capture seafood at the peak of its freshness since styrofoam often causes the food to sweat and makes the breading soggy. The shrimp were fresh, tender, and well-seasoned. The breading was minimal and crispy, and the inside was perfectly cooked. The fries were well seasoned and crispy as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the corn sticks and coleslaw. Both were fresh and clearly homemade and were the perfect complement to the meal. I could not believe the level of quality and freshness that this meal delivered at only $8--what a steal! I immediately hit the group chat to let them know the gem I'd found. They may have strange hours (Closed Sat-Monday with dinner only Tuesday-Thursday and Lunch and Dinner on Friday), but it is most certainly worth it. I will be frequenting the Gold Post on these days. I cannot wait to try their fried fish.
Great atmosphere, wonderful staff down to earth owner and fantastic food!! you will love this place!!

I ordered the Fish Platter which was $9, pretty reasonable, considering the taste and portions. The food was great! I usually dont eat the backs of fish (silvery gray side)? bc of the fishiness. However; their fish is seasoned so well there is no fishy after taste even if you accidently ate a back portion as I did? . The string beans omg smh You must try them for yourself..hearing about it doesn't do it. The coleslaw and okra?. This is southern Seafood cooking. Try them for yourself you'll love the food and Hospitality???????
