Me and my wife had just got back from Japan and came here hoping for similarities, but we didnt get what we hoped. the atmosphere was excellent, I loved it. The server we had was also great, kept checking on us, but not as often as we liked, I had run out of drink fast and the sauce in my food was a bit much and needed my drink for this.The food was good, but not what I ordered. The server got a lot wrong and was very apologetic, but we were not offered what we wanted in exchange, so we had to eat what they gave us. The price was decent compared with other places around greenville, and overall experience was not that great with only the server to interact with with so many things wrong with our orders.

This place was fantastic ? ? ? ?. My husband and I went out tonight, and we decided to try here. This was the first time we had ever been here. They had live music, which was so great for the atmosphere. The menu had a great selection of food even for kids! The service was wonderful and on point. Now the food was just so fresh and tasted so good! Everything was fresh, a nice mixture in the rolls, and the sake was so yummy. I can not wait to come back here already, and we just left. We are so glad we also found out they do take out!! I highly recommend coming here and trying their food. It was so great and fresh. The assortment of rolls, food, soups, salads, and more was just unreal! You need to try this place. I can not say enough about this restaurant. Try it!

Shogun always delivers an intimate, quality experience. The staff are so polite and gracious and ready to help anyone they pass by, regardless of whether or not it is 'their table.' This goes a long way, especially when it comes to attentiveness. They are always accommodating and eager to please, no matter the size of the party or the request.

This place does not sell sake from any part of Japan. At least not on the menu. They only have 1 bottle from a prefecture in Japan and when I purchased it they made a huge commotion about it.

I honestly loved shoguns and it was my favorite place to eat until last week - it was the first time I had been since they changed the white sauce- I was so disappointed! The new white sauce is not as good - I think maybe it’s too much garlic It has a odd taste. Everything else was great - the service and quality of food and the house soy! But I don’t think I can get use to the new white sauce so not sure I will eat there as often. Please bring the old sauce back.

I had a wonderful experience sitting at the sushi bar. Carolyn, whom I hear is the best server in town, lived up to her reputation… And Charlie’s wit and delicious food sealed the five star deal. I had a shrimp and avocado tempura roll, and Gyoza.
