“Nice spot for a hearty breakfast after fasting for a medical procedure. Grits were a little watery and the coffee was not good at all. May need to clean and delime the machine and pots and use filtered water. The fried bologna was excellent. Old school diner atmosphere.“

Gold Post Cafe Inc Cafe • $

“My southern husband adores fried food and I was glad to find this place. The shared kitchen is open for fish Fridays only and we share the fish and shrimp platter, both of which are good, for $11 with two sides. The fries and green beans are nothing special, the okra, mac/cheese, cole slaw, and potato salad are all good. The potatoes aren't particularly good. The guy at the window is very nice. Apparently there's seating inside but we've only done take away.“

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I am always looking for a restaurant that gives a diner feel where "real" home cooked style food is served. Seahorse delivered 100%! The prices are also fantastic. My husband had the Friday special shrimp plate with 2 sides. I had the 2 piece white meat fried chicken with 2 sides and an iced tea. We also purchased 6 slices of cake and a banana pudding. Our bill was only $66!My chicken was perfectly seasoned and fried crispy. It arrived piping hot! My sides of cabbage and mac-and-cheese were good as well. Most places serve flavorless mac-and-cheese that is creamy but watery and flavorless. I get the feeling Seahorse mac-and-cheese was baked, it was rich, thick and flavorful. The cabbage was perfect, tender but not mushy, and also well seasoned. I don't usually order sweet tea when I go to restaurants but I was in the mood for it today so I did and it was really good. It wasn't watered down and wasn't too sweet, it was just right. My husband loved his shrimp, fried okra, and steak fries. We got alot of cake but have only tried a few. The texture of the cakes were great in my opinion. I liked the coconut but feel like most of the coconut flavor was coming from the icing and not the cake. I'm not a fan of the pineapple cake but it may have been that the filling and icing was too cold. I'm going to give it another try when it's not straight out of the fridge cold. My husband loved the death by chocolate cake. He especially loved the mini chocolate chips on the icing. The service was quick and friendly although I could tell they were super busy and were feeling it. All the tables in the main room were full when we arrived and the side rooms started to quickly fill up later. The waitresses kept up with everything and were constantly going from table to table and in and out the kitchen! Please tip these ladies (and gentlemen if there are some) well because they definitely earn it!10/10 highly recommend if you want a home cooked meal that doesn't break the bank or skimp on portion size.Parking: Plenty of parking but you may have to walk a little.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly environment. Most of the people there were older and there was also a family with young kids. Very quiet and calm environment.“

“Staff were not very friendly. I had to ask several times to get our drinks. I also had to ask several times to get napkins Food was not up to the standard that one expects from Cracker Barrel. They were out of several entrees we requested. The coffee tasted stale. The Country store was the only highlight of this trip. The Country store is nice especially if you want speciality sodas you can't get easily at other stores such as Big Red, Moxie, Nehi Peach etc.“

“Fairly high quality food and a really outstanding atmosphere with chill music and a nice fish tank. The food sometimes takes long than it needs to but overall is a great restaurant and it's always a good experience there. The prices are decent and the customer service is solid. I highly recommend the Monte Cristo.“

Right next to a gas station, very unassuming. We ate breakfast, lunch, and got a to go dinner for later as they open 5:30a - 2pm M-F. Closed Sat/Sun. They had really good chicken tenders they had just made for the gas station hot bar next door. They were good.
