Found this place actually by accident on our way to somewhere else in Greenville. So glad we did! Food is outstandingly fresh, good service and great value for your money. Don't understand any of the negative reviews. We tried several different things and they were all fresh and tasty.

Best bbq foods ever. The 1947 burger is my favorite. Monday through Friday 11 to 3 go get that burger. Tracy hooks it up...

All I have to say is sushi sushi sushi…. The sushi was spot on point. Shrimp tempura amazing. Staff was very helpful while ordering, and if in the area try them out. I will be returning.

Japan Tokyo is ALWAYS delicious!! The food is hot and tasty. They have a variety of dishes to order. Today I ordered Hibachi chicken & shrimp, and my friend ordered edamame, Tuna Tarte sushi and Tempura Shrimp. I also love their Crab Salad, Avocado Salad and Crab Sushi. Also, the staff is attentive and sooo nice. We LOVE this place!! Highly recommend. ?❤??

This place was great, you would think it’s a hole in the wall but no it’s an awesome restaurant with really good food. I definitely recommend! Priced reasonably also.

I will start by saying that i never complain. We came for sushi and hibachi. The rice from our hibachi was flavorless and old. The sushi rice was also old. I asked before hand if they mince their tuna for the spicy tuna and they said it was ground. Instead of just having minced tuna and spicy mayonnaise they added bread crumbs as filler making it almost flavorless. The rolls were assembled in a neat uniform way as they should be and the presentation was beautiful but in the end how it tastes is most important thing. $50 down the drain.

it was a disappointment again! Teriyaki shrimp was tough. Hibachi steak was not grilled but stir fried with a sauce. That was very tough also. Fried rice was bland. Let's talk about the rolls... I ordered 2 different rolls = spicy salmon and spicy white tuna. Neither were spicy and they tasted exactly the same. The katsu chicken was ok.Packaging of the food was great. I ordered online and had special requests for packaging. They were careful to follow my requests.I will not go back a 3rd time.

LOVE this place! The atmosphere is amazing, the food is even better, and the waitstaff is always awesome! Authentic decor and booths, real fresh sushi (and wasabi... which is rare!) And ask for Hannah!!! She's served us almost every time and remembered us from only a couple weekend visits! She always makes sure we're doing good and have what we need, she has an awesome energy and is just all around a great waitress! Best hidden gem of Greenville! ?

The lobster roll, new American dream roll, shumai, and mochi ice cream are all really really good

Went to our normal go to for sushi last night. We were told it would a 35-40 minute wait. After an hour, we were told it would be at least 30 more minutes. Hostess said the manager would not let her seat anyone because the kitchen was backed up. We decided to try Tokyo Japan on Memorial DR. Had not been in years, because it's the farthest from our home.. We were seated immediately. We placed our order, and after about 20 minutes, they brought us a free dumpling appetizer, and apologized for the wait. When the food came, it was hands down the best I've had in Greenville. On top of that, they gave us a free dessert, and apologized again for the wait. We were in and out and stuffed in an hour and a half, and 3 of us consumed 7 rolls. Outstanding! Highly recommended! I have a new sushi go to.?
