“The food was really good. The establishment was clean. However, the music was a little loud. They did turn it down a little which helped. The wait for the food was lengthy however but, well worth it. I got the big boss platter, deep fried corn and gator bite combo with French fries. My parents got the salmon and shrimp combo with broccoli and corn. “I've eaten at many Pizza Inn Restaurants in North Carolina. The Pizza Inn in Henderson, NC has the best buffet I've been to. The Pizza is hot, there is many varieties, there is plenty of sauce as well as the toppings on the Pizza. I had the very best Taco Pizza today at this establishment. The salad bar, the pizzart bar are five star ratings as well as the service, and the cleanliness, something I've very particular about.“
“If you want to bypass the fast food locations the Golden Skillet has a huge menu that is made-to-order homemade cooking. They have so many food options. And the price is reasonable.I must confess that the fried gizzard is the best in the state of North Carolina. They have melt-in-your-mouth super tender gizzards that you will not find anywhere else. Most of the food that is offered here you will find at a sit-down restaurant versus a fast food location. I also was amazed at how golden brown and tasty the pork chops were made. The menu is very detailed with their prices.The workers are all nice, attentive and friendly. The dining area is very fresh and clean with great window lighting. This place may look a little old-fashioned but the quality of the service and the food options are delightful.Don’t expect everything to be perfect but for the most part, the majority of the food here is pretty good.Parking: Plenty of parking spots.“
“There is a bit of a wait on most days, but that is probably just 'cause a bunch of people order at the same time. I go to this one all the time, and typically have a good experience. They have had a few staff members that I wasn't fond of, but the current group seems pretty good.Vegetarian options: They do have a Garden Fresh specialty option, or you can build your own with their different veggies. You can ask for no cheese, and a clean cut, so you can avoid contact with meat products. Not really too many options for Vegan, though.Dietary restrictions: If you call them about certain restrictions, they are pretty good about it.“
“I called in a lunch special today and the lady that took my order was so pleasant and made sure my cheese was not brown. I can't remember her name or the young man that prepared my sausage pizza but they both are awesome employees!! Thank you both!!“
“Friendly service from cashier. Decent dinner on the road, it was better three weeks ago for lunch. Dining area needs a good cleaningBathrooms were in need of a cleaning and remodel. Owner-operator / Management needs to provide some guidance and support. One team member came and sat on the counter by the cash register with his back to dining room chatting with co-workers.“
“The chicken is delicious, but they need to stop serving those baby wings. You have a few average sized wings covered by loads of baby wings with a full price. Also, I called in an order and was given a time to pick up order, but got there on time and still had to wait and additional 20+mins. Grant it, I had my family in the car and that is not the type of area you want your loved ones to be just sitting. Tell me a time to pick up my food and make sure it’s ready within that timeframe, so your customers are in and out of the war zone. Otherwise, the taste of the wings are on point and they are cooked perfectly.“
