Went for the prime rib which was just ok. I left most of it on the plate. My wife couldn’t eat her chicken wrap. She ate the fries. The place needs a total overhaul. There’s a nasty mop bucket kinda smell when you walk in the door. Very much the same smell as IHop on north main st. The carpet should be pulled up or at least vacuumed. More expensive than I would have expected. I could have made the dish I ordered in my own kitchen and it would have been less expensive and tasted better. The service was a little slack... We had a group, so there was an automatic tip. Plus... They were out of Budweiser, our friend's favorite (he was not happy). We even had to chase down 2 different people to get our checks. It wasn't that bad, but we won't be back.

I was looking for a restaurant to accommodate a 50th birthday party with a large headcount on a Sat evening. Without hesitation, Bessie accepted my reservation and honored every request I made along the way. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back for our large group needs as well as dinner in general. Thank you Austin's staff for making my BF's birthday a one to remember!!
