What a nice experience my friend and I had there last night. It was her birthday, and we've recently switched to a plant-based way of eating, so Sumela seemed like a good choice. We ordered an array of appetizers, and each one was delicious and had its own unique flavor, as it should. The decor was tasteful, with beautiful shots of their native country, Turkey, all around. The owner was hospitable enough to greet us at our table after awhile, and when he heard it was my friend's birthday, we received an extra-special presentation of "Happy Birthday" in Turkish, and delicious, in-house made Baklava. Truly a pleasurable and tasty experience--the highlight of our evening-- and we look forward to returning soon.
Mediterranean food is highly suggested as a great diet, especially to reduce inflammation. Sumela offers an extensive menu, with food that tastes phenomenal! I've never eaten inside, but the food is always hot and fresh. Surely is my #1 Mediterranean restaurant ?Parking: The parking lot is shared by multiple businesses. I have been able to find a decent parking spot each time I visited this restaurant. Easy in and easy out!

First off, when you walk in the aroma of the plants is beautiful! In addition to a clean and calm atmosphere, the service providers are pleasant to engage with. From there, the menu has a variety of options. The lentil soup is off the chain! And the dishes are healthy and some plant-based. The yogurt drink is a delight when taken following the meal..I add a couple of Splenda but that’s my preference. Also, it’s just one of my top places to enjoy my food. Thank you everyone at Sumela for an affordable dining experience here in HP ??

This is the best experience we've had eating out in a while. The food was amazing and cooked perfectly. The prices were fair for the amount of food you get and how yummy it is. Our waitress was amazing as well!
Super fresh, exceptionally fast service, really delicious. I'm searching for North Carolina's best gyros, and this takes top spot. The spanikopita is excellent, too. Portions are very generous!!Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entry

The gyro sandwich was nothing to be excited about. Overpriced for the basic wrap that didn't have anything special about it. Got a tiramisu which was basically a frozen ice-burned piece of garbage that they probably bought in wholesale stock, then resold it for much more than it's worth. Had tasted better tiramisus from a restaurant depot store than this. Overall, don't waste your money
