We recently traveled through Lexington, NC and looked for a local place to eat. Since all the travelers like Mexican food, we Googled for options and found La Carrera only a couple of miles from exit 91 on I-85. We lucked out big time, and we all enjoyed our selections, from children's plates to taco salads. I selected an item I have never before seen on a Mexican restaurant menu - Peluche. I always feel cramped except when I am outside. Food is good. In my opinion, their chicken is not well seasoned. I do not always get what I order, Tamales used to be really good but they don't put meat IN the Tamales.

We moved into town and every time I walked out of Walmart I kept smelling delicious food but didn't know where it was coming from. It was La Carreta Authentic Mexicano food. It was definitely official. Food was delicious. Will be going back for sure.
