“I didn't even know this place was here but it has been since1979. Decor is sparse nautical theme. A bit dark. I sat for awhile before they noticed I was there. Friendly and helpful. Food was wonderful. I had Cajun grilled shrimp, used very little cocktail sauce because it was delicious the way it was. The potato was perfection. The tea was good, not flavored sugar water like many places.”

“10/10 by far! They have a cult following and there is a strong reason why. I've only had the food truck and am hoping to get out to Peachland asap for the true authentic experience. Best brisket I've had in Charlotte by far, the turkey was moist and delicious and you can never go wrong with their sides. My personal favorite is the jalapeño cheesy grits, like nothing I've had before. The team is always so friendly despite having to get through crazy long lines! Plan ahead and get yourself some very good BBQ”

“Stopped in on a Sunday evening for a quick bite. Both my with an I had the Turkey with dressing. Way above our expectations. Good size portions, friendly servers and a chaming atmosphere with vintage signs and sayings. We'll be back.”

“I dined in and had a take out, but the young waitress has no sense. First, she gave me a burning hot skillet without a handel cover, and it burned my fingers. I had to ask for a cup of ice to cool my fingers.She has ZERO SENSE on how to pack the food. I got a take out shrimp meal with a salad and rice. She was dumb enough to pack the salad under a sauce full of shrimp. I told her that she is supposed to keep the cold stuff in a separate box because when I'm ready to eat in 4 to 5 hours, the lettuce salad will be soggy and nasty. Her dumb response was " THAT IS HOW WE PACK IT HERE."That means you don't believe in using your brain at all?”

“One of my favorite places to go for morning coffee, meeting friends and a quick cheap lunch! The people there are always nice and patient as I still have to figure out what I want every time. If you're on a special diet, aka gluten free or sugar free, it might be difficult to find something to fit but for the most part they have something for everyone. I think adding non meat protein would go a long way. The $6 lunch special is awesome and my favorite thing to do. You get sandwich chips and drink for $6. The reward program is also great for how convenient it is to campus and how often I visit.”
