“We had a big party(20+) that we had reserved for lunch and everything was handled perfectly. We only had one server so we were a little worried at first. But we shouldn’t have been. BILLY did an amazing job! He took all our orders and got everything out super fast and all at the same time! Now I’m sure he must have had lots of help from the kitchen staff to accomplish this but it all went seamlessly! Thanks again for a great experience!!!“
“In recent years, especially during and since the covid 19 outbreak of 2020, Longhorn has become our preferred steakhouse. The quality is consistent and service attentive. The occasional slightly over cooked steak (still within an acceptable range of doneness) always available seating in a reasonable amount of time.Takeout during covid was exceptional with the exception of a single order mixup. Haven't used the takeout since 2021-2.“
“By far my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. I go here every chance I get when I want to feel fancy and spoil myself. Food is AMAZING. Atmosphere is top tier. Service is unmatched. I have not had ANYTHING on the menu that I did not LOVE. you absolutely have to try the lobster And shrimp Mac n cheese if you don't try ANYTHING else, you HAVE TO get this!!! You will NOT be disappointed by this restaurant. 1 billion thumbs up!!“
“We had Easter Brunch here this year and it was absolutely perfect! We had Oysters Rockefeller, and Salmon Carpaccio for appetizers. I had the Benedict with Brussels and my husband had the Croche Madame. Both were perfectly prepared. Stuart took great care of us and we’ll be back asap.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggies on the menu!!Parking: Parking deck directly beside restaurant.Kid-friendliness: If your kid knows how to stay in their chair, this is a super kid friendly spot!Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessed by wheelchair.“
“We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. The service at the bar before our reservation was impeccable. The food and atmosphere was good. Our waiter had no sense of humor and messed up two of our four orders. Then the food wasn't cooked to the right temperature. So we had to send two of our plates back. It was good and I would go back but probably just eat at the bar.“
“We went during the Savor Charlotte festival and got to try small versions of a lot of menu favorites plus some special items. The food was absolutely delicious. The calamari, lamb, and short rib were perfect. We were tucked in what felt like a back corner, which I think affected how attentive our server was, but it gave us a nice view of the Charlotte skyline.Parking: Free parking in the garage across the street, can get busy but there are always spaces available.“
“My husband and I celebrated my 30th birthday and had a wonderful experience. We made reservations and the time was honored by staff. I waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Now to the food.. everything that we stuffed, yes stuffed lol, in our mouths was delicious and flavorful. 5’s across the board.“
“The food was exquisite. We took my father for his birthday, and he enjoyed his experience. My only reserve was service was slow. My experience with other Brazilian steak houses was fast service and for the cost I would expect that. However, everyone from the server to the gentleman bringing the meats out seemed to drag their feet a bit. On three occasions the server or floor manager had get someone to our table for a top of on drinks, food, etc. Our plates were empty at one point for 5 minutes and my second glass of wine took so long everyone was finished eating when it arrived.“
“Stopped in for dinner with my wife, to start with we got our drinks quick. Appetizer was out before main course. The timing was on point. Both of our stakes where cooked perfectly, and the sides where also perfect. Wish I would have gotten more pictures before the food was gone.“
“Los Primos Grill realmente es como estar comiendo en las calles de nuestra amada Honduras. Realmente delicioso, un sabor único e inigualable que no encontrarán en ningún otro lugar. Variedad de venta de producto hondureño, deliciosos tres leches y demás bebidas naturales que están hecha de la viva pulpa. Si no han visitado, se los recomiendo 100%“
“The Porter's House is a great place for a date night. The vibes are really cool. The staff are all amazing, from the greeters at the front door to the wait staff. Each one was so attentive and genuinely cared about us. We made a reservation and showed up a little bit early and tables were available. We were told we could sit wherever we wanted in the bar area, so my wife and I chose a table against the wall. The person who brought our menus over next said we looked a little cramped and wouldn't we want to sit in a more open table instead? Yes we would, thank you! Because of that little bit of paying attention, we had a much more comfortable meal. Our waiter was incredible with the way he described the food on the menu to the way he poured the wine at our table. He was a bright highlight of the evening. The Porter's House is a steak house. For some reason, my wife and I both went with seafood. In retrospect, that was a mistake, as we should have stuck with what the restaurant is known for. I started with a tomato and mozzarella salad, which was quite tasty and fresh. I liked it best of all the food I had. For my main course, I ordered salmon over risotto. The risotto was bland and under seasoned and not very flavorful. The salmon was fine. It was cooked properly and tasted like salmon. But nothing about it stood out or made me think I would order it again. To share, my wife and I ordered the Brussels sprouts. They were cooked okay and were drizzled with a balsamic glaze. But the sprouts just didn't have a lot going for them. Maybe they were baked in the oven and therefore no charring took place to enhance the flavor or texture? Not sure. But we both agreed that something was lacking in these sprouts. Other restaurants in the area do phenomenal jobs with their Brussels sprouts. I wouldn't recommend them at The Porter's House. Will we give this place a try again? Definitely. The staff was too good and there is too much promise in the items on the menu that are in the restaurant's wheelhouse. The food was disappointing during this visit, yes. But everything else about The Porter's House screams greatness. We'll just have to remember next time that when going to a steakhouse to order the steak.Parking: Waverly is usually pretty crowded, especially on a weekend evening. Parking is a challenge. I recommend parking in the garage and walking over to the restaurant. But with patience, you can find street parking behind the restaurant or venture further to the parking lot shared by so many other restaurants and shops.“
“Ruth Chris never fails to impress. Refined setting, refreshing raspberry cosmo, delicious food ... lobster bisque to die for, steak full of flavour & cooked to perfection, tasty veg. Service excellent , thanks Jazz. Festive table decor to acknowledge milestone birthday celebration. Much enjoyed! Thank you!“
“Soooo busy. We waited 50 minutes for a table on a Wednesday night. We’d never been here before, and wanted to try something different. The food took another hour which was insane, but it wasn’t from staff shortage because they had a lot of workers. The server ended up spilling the drink all over the table and just left it ? The food was good, but def not worth waiting two hours. We can get some tasty steak and baked potatoes at other steakhouses and notwaste an entire evening.“
“The gentleman who took care of our table and the lady who brought our food out and extra silverware were nice. All the food came out tasting good, but maybe it was just my taste buds, but I felt like the Caesar salad dressing was really spicy. That’s about the only way to describe it. Still, everything was wonderful and we enjoyed our experience.“
“The chicken parmesan was crispy and the sauce had a lot of flavor. The crab cake, thick cut bacon, and prosciutto appetizers were a great way to warm up our appetites. The wine paired well with the steak and the pasta. Our server was extremely helpful. The tiramisu with a glass of McCallan 18yr was divine.“
“Jessica gave amazing recommendations. We enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer, kale chopped salad with chicken, garlic mashed potatoes (amazing) and hericot verts. Jessica was attentive and also recommended the Wente Chardonnay which we enjoyed.“
“Our waiter was amazing... The little guys that come around to serve you your meat we're amazing... The quality of the food really has not been up to par lately... The quality of the meat is not like how it used to be and you could tell everything is just seasoned with salt and pepper... The sides were soggy and subpar.“
“This is one of our top favorite places to go. First, I brought my husband (then boyfriend) to experience the amazing tomahawk steak. The last visit before tonight was the time the love of my life proposed to me. I cannot gush enough about the amazing experience we have everytime we visit this amazing restaurant. From the impeccable service to the mind blowing food and drinks, we are hooked every time. When you come, ask for Thomas!“
“My sisters and I visited Sullivans for the first time. The service and atmosphere were excellent. The crab cakes were not the best due to the excessive amount of peppers and being burnt on both sides. The crab fried rice was lukewarm and lacked flavor. I think it would benefit from an aioli or remoulade sauce and to be served hot! The tempura fried lobster tails and the desserts were excellent.Parking: FYI Valet parking is complimentary for Sullivans. The workers said they work for tips which is generally $10/ car or whatever you prefer.“
“We went on an off night. Took a long while to get our food. Staff was super responsive to that fact and went far beyond accommodating. Stellar service from the waiter and the manager. Food was 10/10! Hot, delicious, and exactly what we wanted.“
“I sometimes avoid a place if it looks really crowded, but not only is this place worth it, they always seem to get us in faster than I would think possible. The Steak is great and Country fried Chicken is a favorite also. Can't forget about the Yeast Rolls!“
