“I have been searching forever to find the perfect french fry. I know that sounds crazy but the fries are fresh and homemade. Just something from my childhood memories. I have yet to have bad food or bad service. Their food has always been amazing. I would highly recommend their french fries and for breakfast pancakes they make the best of both!”

“Fun local hang out for burgers, dogs, ice cream and more. Cones are rockin'! Careful pulling in, parking can get crazy and they can get super busy some days. Worth it IMO.”

“Nice place to stop and relax. We stopped by on our way out of Charlotte. We both had flights and really enjoyed the wine slushies. The weather was gorgeous, so we wandered around the grounds and checked out the vines and pond. They have a large covered space and plenty of seating. A gem of a spot. Go check it out!”

“Awesome unexpected joint on the highway after a weekend trip. Burgers and fries were awesome(smash style with their own secret sauce. Even had fresh baked cookie for desert! Fed 2 for under $24! Great service. No dine in but picnic tables are available.”

“Yum! I stopped in with my kids today and we had a great meal at Tacoland. The tacos were hot and delicious with the meat cooked to order. We had the al pastor and chicken tacos, and also a couple of chicken quesadillas. We will be back soon!”

“It was our first time at Bobs family restaurant & Alaina was our waitress. She was over the top, extremely friendly, helpful & efficient. Very small but homey atmosphere & we will definitely be back!”

“Subway is always the choice for me when craving a sandwich. I specifically enjoy their tuna sub and the veggie patty sub. Most locations did away with veggie patties and their pizzas. This location sells the pizzas and has the veggie patty available. I came during lunch peak hours and was immediately helped at the counter. As soon as 2 more guests showed up, more sandwich artists came to the front to help build the sandwiches. My sandwich artist was amazing and did a great job building and wrapping my sandwich. This location is more modern, and super clean. The bathroom also has a diaper changing station which is a must since I travel with my 16 month old daughter. It will be my new favorite subway location for a while.”

“This place has my favorite cheeseburgers ever! They're so soft, juicy, and melt in your mouth with the cheese...I'm getting hungry just thinking about them. Their banana caramel milkshake is also a top 3 favorite ice cream of mine. Although, servers could use some more training because every time I'm there they're either extremely slow or mess something, but they're still very nice. For example, one time they messed up my order twice because the server wasn't understanding what I was wanting. I never complained, but they gave me my meal on the house anyway. The server could've been new and they were very accommodating so of course I don't hold it against them and continue to eat there. I mean when their burgers are that good I have to!”

“We’ve always had great times there with family and friends. The employees and management is top notch and the ice cream is some of the best around. I recommend anyone to pay a visit if you haven’t, you will not be disappointed.”

“Found this great coffee spot following a visit to Rob Wallace park. Excellent customer service with plenty of parking and a dog friendly large covered patio out front. Don’t expect anything but a few bakery items if you’re hungry but who cares. The service and coffee alone make this a great visit.”

“First things first this place was sparkling clean. The food was amazingly good. We both opted for the Turkey wings with cabbage , Mac and cheese, and black eyed peas. Very flavorful. Loved the mac and cheese it had a faint sweetness to it but blended surprisingly well with sharp cheddar cheese blend. By far the best soul food in Stanley Country. If you love good food, drive on out it is worth every minute.. Lots of options. They offer dine in also. Let's support there business..Good food is hard to find out here. Now we don't have to drive to the city real soul food.?????Parking: Tucked next to Phillips 66 gas station on 24 in Locust NC.”

“Wow! Took my bestie here for her birthday. First of all I love the sweet little town of Locust. Every experience I’ve had here leaves a happy feeling.It was a Saturday night during prom season and we didn’t have a reservation so no table was available. Several different staff apologized for this fact. We were seated at the long table in the middle of the room since we didn’t have reservations. It was fine.The waiters were the bar keepers Rhett and Tyler. Could not have been more kind helpful, prompt and courteous. All good.The atmosphere in crowded places often bothers my hearing but here I had no issue. It’s lighting and decor give it a nice feeling. Love the mural in honor of the beloved Locust.We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer and it was so very delicious. Perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. I had the chicken melt, black eyed peas and loaded fries. I ordered the chicken because the menu said it had 3 kinds of cheese and I’m a cheese fanatic, imagining it would be loaded with cheese. It wasn’t, but still was good. The black eyed peas were the best I’ve ever had. We even asked Rhett how they make them. Super delicious. The loaded fries hit me in the happy with their generous cheese. My obsession satisfied.My friend ordered the ribs and rosemary potatoes. She loved the food and raved about it and swore she will be back here.We intended to order dessert but the portions were so generous that we didn’t have room.This place is a gem and I’m hoping they do amazing business. I’m thrilled to have a new excuse to go to Locust.”

“Our family loves the Sunrise Grill. The food and service are always consistently delicious. Today I tried the Sunrise omelette, sausage, bacon, ham, onion, cheese, and tomato. It was good, but I prefer their veggie omelette add sausage. Pumpkin waffles are seasonal and a must try. My 5 year old really enjoyed the pancake and entertaining the other diners around us. I love our little country community and this diner.”

“1st time for my Wife and I to attend here. Finding a Mexican restaurant near us with good food is important. This business is about 5 min from our home and the atmosphere was great.I had the pick 2 Burrito and Taco, rice and refried beans. My Wife had the Pick 2 with Burrito's. The food was seriously well prepared and the taste was really good. Usually the beef at some restaurants has a dog food taste to it. This beef was very good and was seasoned well.We will be going back often.”

“Went for the fish platter on Fish Fry Friday. It's a cool little place, and the service was great. The food was average. Fired oysters were pretty gamey/fishy and left behind. Fish was kind of the same, not so great. Deviled crab was all breading. The fried clams, shrimp, and hush puppies were all good. Will give it a whirl for some non-fish next time.Parking: There is plenty of space behind building in a stone lot. It's haphazard, but it works.”
