“Crazy to me that I got the best pad Thai I've had in YEARS at a mini mart type store. Came here when I was feeling under the weather and craving pad Thai and wasn't disappointed. So much food for the price and it was delicious. Got it to go and took a bite of the food while I was driving home and had a hard time stopping myself from eating before I even got to the house- I can't say enough good things. The food really is great and the service is fast.”
“Great little gem in downtown Mount Holly. Best sushi I've had since moving to the Carolinas three years ago. Lots of sushi and Thai choices on the menu. Reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Recommend!”
“We've ordered take-out twice before and Papa Sammy's is our favorite local pizza place. Decided to eat in this time and we had a BLAST! Our grandson (18 mo) could run around, there were games to play, large tables, plenty of chairs and highchairs to utilize. Great food - we had pizza, mozzerella sticks, fried raviolis and fries. All delicious! Our grandson enjoyed a cake pop on the way out. Thanks Papa Sammy and staff! We'll be back soon!”
“Great service and even tastier food!!!Burgers are always on point!! Probably the best onion rings I’ve ever had!!If you haven’t tried them then you should and trust me you will not be disappointed..Get there early if you can cause it so good they sell out fast!!”
“I absolutely love this place. It has had just a few rough periods through the years, but they are still amazing. The quickness of this restaurant is unmatched. We get our food within 15 minutes of sitting down, even after looking throughly through the menu. The togo orders typically have less food, and that would be my only complaint.”
“Looking for a bit of cheeky fun and a whole lot of flavor? Look no further than the Small Town Drive-In Themed Restaurant! Tucked away in our quaint little corner of the world, this joint is serving up more than just burgers and fries – it's dishing out a side of nostalgia with a naughty twist. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you'll feel like you've stepped into a time machine straight out of a 1950s flick. Vintage cars, neon lights, and waitstaff dressed to impress in their retro attire set the stage for an evening of indulgence. And indulge you will! Sink your teeth into juicy burgers dripping with flavor, crispy fries that are dangerously addictive, and milkshakes so thick and creamy, they'll make you weak in the knees. But be warned: the food isn't the only thing that's sinful here. The ambiance is positively electric, with a playful vibe that's as irresistible as it is risqué. Jukebox tunes set the mood, while the scent of grilled goodness fills the air. And let's not forget the outdoor seating area, where you can cozy up with your date under the stars and catch a steamy scene on the big screen. So, if you're feeling a little naughty and craving some old-fashioned fun, make your way to the Small Town Drive-In Themed Restaurant. Just be prepared to leave your inhibitions at the door – because here, anything goes, and the only rule is to enjoy yourself to the fullest.”
“My server was also the bartender so even though he was incharge of the whole restaurant, he was attentive and kind. He suggested to try any of the burgers so I got the classic burger which was a great choice! The food came out hot and it was so delicious. I will be back when I'm in the area.”
“Never had a bad meal or a bad drink here. Everything is always on point and packed with flavor. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Atmosphere is great with the welcoming fire pit in cooler days. Definitely one of my favorite places around.”
“I have lunch here periodically with a group. I love the grouper sandwich, but yesterday I had the Grilled chicken Caesar salad. It was Huge! The grilled chicken was hot and delicious. The salad was dressed perfectly- an excellent balance without too much dressing. I recommend you plan to share one or take some home in a box as I did. That night it made a filling snack that was just as good as it was at lunch. The next day I finished it for my lunch. The croutons that were French and warm the previous day were not soggy (!) and it made for a great 2nd lunch. We always enjoy the service and atmosphere either inside or outside. Recommended!”
“As an employee of the restaurant, I would like to inform you that the comments made by the concerned Mrs. S..... !!We are in 2024 and it is obvious that whatever happens around us we upload it to the internet making everything tragic!! This lady came and applied as a server and hosts.. she started working as a hostess for 2 weeks until one night the manager offered her to work in another position “since her application was for waitress and hostess”she refused without even trying!the same evening the Owner spoke to her in front of the manager and another employeeHe told her:I don't want to put you to work as a waitress since you don't want to but at least do the training just in case of emergency waitress calls out to know how to serve! She categorically refused.. The owner told her that he didn’t want to pay two employees for the same job,so they can alternately work as hosts and as waiters the other girl was ok with it…obviously she refused and she said it was fine as hosts!!The owner thanked her profusely and told her he wouldn't need her anymore! She cursed as she left from the restaurantA few hours later, her mother called “to note that the lady was 35 years old”, complaining that the owner and the manager treated her daughter badlyThe next day her husband came to collect the check shouting and cursing inside the restaurant forcing the owner to call the police!!!Posted bad reviews about the restaurant actually me and the rest of the restaurant staff just laughed when we saw it because we know that our customers have known the restaurant for many years and they are very happy that our rating is 100 and 99.5 and we as employees are very proud of it!!Αnd besides if I'm not wrong ,Hostess position is at the front of the restaurant, I get impressed that she knows in detail what was going on back in the kitchen?I would also like to say that she is insulting herself by saying she used the towels we used for the floor to wipe the tables!!!we as waitresses had no way of doing that!!I wanted to place correctly and fairly as an employee of the restaurant because these comments are an insult to the restaurant!!”
“Fast and delicious, no frills diner with country staples and breakfast standards. Very reasonably priced, I will be making this my weekend breakfast spot after a day in the trails.”
“Now knows as Pies & Sides, we were waiting to get an opportunity to grab some pies as they have limited hours. I grabbed the meat pies and I have to say I am not sorry, they’re delicious. When I was in there the girl that checked me out was very friendly and told me that they will be open later on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings for take out only. I am definitely looking forward to that!”
“The dine in experience is okay, nothing great or bad about it.Love the food! We eat in only because the food is as fresh as it gets and hasn't spent 30 minutes steaming itself to death.”
“Our waitress Sharan was amazing very polite friendly live these small hometown restaurants have been here several times. This time had spaghetti and meatballs. Not overwhelming meatballs are nervous plain.”
“We tried this place at lunchtime on a weekday, and it was packed! They have an extensive menu. We ordered breakfast, the food was good! When you stop in, make sure you get the biscuits and gravy. It was fantastic! The prices are very reasonable. The staff and locals are incredibly friendly!Parking: It's a gravel parking lot, park anywhere.Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is kid friendly, loud, and lively.”
