“Flat out excellent little country smokehouse.Warm, open, inviting atmosphere with the greats of country music playing in the background.Service was timely, super friendly, and helpful without being overbearing.We got the brisket philly sandwich, brisket loaded spud, and chicken salad with hush puppies and potatoe salad sides.The brisket in the sandwich and the spid were excellent. The chicken on the salad was a full breast portion, moist, and very flavorful, with a large salad portion. Potatoe salad was very good, without being overly mayo'y or mustard'y, and the hush puppies were flat out the best I've ever had since moving to the south 4 years ago.This place was a very pleasant surprise, during our stay in Mt Pleasant!”

“Stopped in for a quick dinner on my way through Mt. Pleasant. Sat at the bar as I was alone. Bartender was very pleasant and she always had a smile on her face. I feel bad that I didn't catch her name.Had a double Vodka Club($16). Well worth the price. They supply two dips as you sit. #1 the standard salsa, which was ok. Nothing to write home about. #2 queso blanco. It was pretty good.Ordered the Pork Tacos with fresh jalapeños on the side(not standard). They were reasonably tasty. I was glad I asked for the side of jalapeños. They needed a little something extra.Will definitely be back try a different dish.”

“My daughter ordered my birthday cake. It wasa short notice but, they made it anyway. I wanted a vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and red roses. It was absolutley perfect. It was very moist and the frosting was in harmony with the cake. Not to sweet. They did a fantastic job. Thank you.”

“I would rather have their food than Little Tokyo it tastes better, you get more for your money, and it's cheaper, and the gentleman that owns this store and his other businesses in Mt. Pleasant all his employees are very professional and very polite and always friendly with a smile ? on their faces there is alot of businesses employees that could take some good lessons from these employees that he owns that might just help their business.”

“Food is always good as well as a plate full! The service is great! I love to go to restaurants and see the owner on the floor interacting with the customers as well as helping his staff do whatever is needed! Very pleasant place at a good price. You won't be disappointed!”

“Cute coffee shop! We stopped in just for coffee, but the food looked amazing. They had large cinnamon rolls that we need to get next time we stop in. They have a large outdoor patio and some indoor seating too.”

“i visited hummingbird jamaican restaurant yesterday. babyyyyyyyy, their food is EVERYTHING. i got their vegan, rasta pasta dish and it’s so flavorful. it was so creamy and full of so much seasoning, when i took a bite it felt like the pasta was “falling off the bone.” ? does that make sense? lol, i hope that painted the picture i needed y’all to see. this is a cooked dish and not cold pasta, think of in the alfredo category but caribbean seasonings. it’s not a vegan restaurant but they have so many amazing options. one of the owners, mike, is a very nice and personable brotha and him and his wife also has a non-profit that helps the homeless and those who were incarcerated in a tremendous way in the city. they have a couple that’s from jamaica cooking the food with their personal recipes, so you KNOW the food is authentic. ?”

“Benny’s is second to none in the city. If anyone feels they have better pizza please tell me where. By the slice cannot go wrong with a crisp crust not burnt, their mushroom option is almost as good as the pepperoni and sausage option. After just one bite from the slice, I was forced to order the pie.”

“Found this great coffee spot following a visit to Rob Wallace park. Excellent customer service with plenty of parking and a dog friendly large covered patio out front. Don’t expect anything but a few bakery items if you’re hungry but who cares. The service and coffee alone make this a great visit.”

“First things first this place was sparkling clean. The food was amazingly good. We both opted for the Turkey wings with cabbage , Mac and cheese, and black eyed peas. Very flavorful. Loved the mac and cheese it had a faint sweetness to it but blended surprisingly well with sharp cheddar cheese blend. By far the best soul food in Stanley Country. If you love good food, drive on out it is worth every minute.. Lots of options. They offer dine in also. Let's support there business..Good food is hard to find out here. “I have never had anything here that I don't like. Unfortunately, they temporarily do not have their taragon chicken salad, which used to be my go to (its so darn good), however they did have the veggie sandwhich on the menu and that is my next fall back. The veggie sandwhich was amazing as always and their bowtie salad is *chefs kiss*. It's light, but filling, and doesn't bog you down. The flavors are bright and pair great together. I love the flavor combinations they use here and it makes them stand out from the other resturants. They pride themselves in their fresh, flavorful ingredients and it always shows.”

“Sassy cakes is amazing!! I placed a custom order and the event host got sick and they froze and held the cookies until I had the new event date! Then when it got pushed back a second time they were still willing to help me out with fresh cookies!! Can't recommend them enough!”

“Nice place to stop and relax. We stopped by on our way out of Charlotte. We both had flights and really enjoyed the wine slushies. The weather was gorgeous, so we wandered around the grounds and checked out the vines and pond. They have a large covered space and plenty of seating. A gem of a spot. Go check it out!”

“Our family loves the Sunrise Grill. The food and service are always consistently delicious. Today I tried the Sunrise omelette, sausage, bacon, ham, onion, cheese, and tomato. It was good, but I prefer their veggie omelette add sausage. Pumpkin waffles are seasonal and a must try. My 5 year old really enjoyed the pancake and entertaining the other diners around us. I love our little country community and this diner.”

“Wow! Took my bestie here for her birthday. First of all I love the sweet little town of Locust. Every experience I’ve had here leaves a happy feeling.It was a Saturday night during prom season and we didn’t have a reservation so no table was available. Several different staff apologized for this fact. We were seated at the long table in the middle of the room since we didn’t have reservations. It was fine.The waiters were the bar keepers Rhett and Tyler. Could not have been more kind helpful, prompt and courteous. All good.The atmosphere in crowded places often bothers my hearing but here I had no issue. It’s lighting and decor give it a nice feeling. Love the mural in honor of the beloved Locust.We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer and it was so very delicious. Perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. I had the chicken melt, black eyed peas and loaded fries. I ordered the chicken because the menu said it had 3 kinds of cheese and I’m a cheese fanatic, imagining it would be loaded with cheese. It wasn’t, but still was good. The black eyed peas were the best I’ve ever had. We even asked Rhett how they make them. Super delicious. The loaded fries hit me in the happy with their generous cheese. My obsession satisfied.My friend ordered the ribs and rosemary potatoes. She loved the food and raved about it and swore she will be back here.We intended to order dessert but the portions were so generous that we didn’t have room.This place is a gem and I’m hoping they do amazing business. I’m thrilled to have a new excuse to go to Locust.”
