Fast service and great food! Except for the BBQ chicken. Not big fan I'm afraid. BBQ sauce not to my liking. Everything else they serve is top notch! They have the best fried chicken in town!
My husband is from New Bern and every time we come to town for a visit we stop by and enjoy the food here at Smithfield’s Chicken N BBQ. I’m from Texas so I’m not used to BBQ without actual BBQ but the vinegar based BBQ is very popular in this area. The portions are big (2 of the 3 of us had leftovers to take with us). The food was fresh and delicious. In a time when customer service seems to be suffering everywhere, it was refreshing to encounter such nice and accommodating staff. Everyone was so welcoming.
