I drove to New Bern for a baby shower. After the fun was over I was Hungry so I ask the family, those who came on this trip are you ready for some good cooking? I'm buying, all you can eat. ? Yes I had some picky eaters in the bunch, but the food and service was so good i gave the waitress a nice tip! We are coming back next week just for the food.. I love this place! Maybe the outside doesn't look fancy, but the food makes up for that. The crab soup is good, the fried shrimp is wonderful, even the brisket is very good. Sometimes the service could be better, but again the food makes up for it. The hush puppies are fresh and good too. We've had multiple dishes here and I always enjoy coming back to eat here. Next door is the fish market, which I need to try too.
I went there for my first time today. There was only one waitress and the younger generation were doing a excellent job at learning how to help. I can say that there was only one waitress, but this woman was working like 3 people. She was friendly. She had me smiling and laughing too. Attentive to 4 tables. Kept my cup full.
