“Luv us some Eddie's! Drove past it for 35 years on the way to and from Wilmington! Finally stopped today and it was delicious:) Great NC barbecue and fried apple jacks like my mother in law Pennie used to make! True Southern gem of a restaurant-”
“TikTok brought me here! Super impressive videos, hopefully I get to visit soon! Food looks amazing ? I love to watch people cook look my Mama & Nanny cooked❤️”
“I love passing through a small town and finding a fantastic local restaurant to eat at. This was that place today!! So many options to choose from and the food did not disappoint!! I will be stopping here every time I come through.”
“The fish and corned Bread was deep fried , too long .None of it was Fresh it was Frozen and pre breaded ...I didn't try the Burgers ...They may have been better.....I did try the Ribs...I wasn't impressed...Tough meat....They haven't been open long..Maybe they will improve ..”
“Hidden gem. Just stopped along the way for a bite to eat. It was yummy. They do however use white corn tortillas so you may want flour if white corn is not your thing like me. Yellow soft corn is where it is at.”
“This was the cleanest and fastest subway I been too. The people there were super nice, they got my order right and they made my sub really good. No complaints about this subway.”
“The food here is a joyful surprise. We had the Korean barbecue tips with sweet potato fries!! Super phenomenal!! This is is a small town between Raleigh and Wilmington. We met Maddie the bartender and she was a marvelous guide.”
“The food was good and the portions were good. They had my order ready in a timely manner and were very polite. I also asked for my food to be altered (lite on onions) and they did just that. My husband also asked for the sauce to also be put on the fried rice and they did it also. So they don't mind special orders.Dietary restrictions: As I said in my review they don't mind special orders.”
“Tacos were delish. Fresh and tasty cook was very nice. Food was cooked to order. Double corn tortillas. Only thing missing was the lime but the meat was seasoned nicely so who cares. prices were higher that in the menus I saw on yelp. $4.00 each taco and $4.00 for a coke. I will go back.”
“Always good. Update. March 16, 2024. Stoped by the Newton Grove location on my way home from Wilmington. I was the first customer on a Saturday morning. The chicken tender sandwich was fantastic and fries were hot as expected. Now the bad. The place was disgusting. Good crumbs under every table. I went to the restroom and it was worse. As I lifted the toilet seat ( I used paper) I almost lost my meal. The seat had caked on fecal matter from weeks of not being cleaned. After returning to the dining room a lookout into the kitchen. I watched the cook put chicken into a holding oven. The inside of the door has never been cleaned. I looked around and it kept getting worse. The independent owner operator needs to be ashamed.”
“I sure miss the double sliders they used to have! BUT MOSTLY.. I Miss My CO-WORKERS and CUSTOMER'S ??? Being The Biscuit Maker Here Was NOT An Easy Job! BUT... I LOVE Knowing That MY BISCUITS... Were LOVED By Many & Are MISSED By Many. I Always Tried To Add A Blessing and Love For EACH & EVERY Biscuit I EVER MADE THERE! (Even on bad days lol)?☺️Parking: I have to say that if you want to park and go inside, try not to park on the side that runs down 701 Highway... If the drive thru is busy like every morning you are probably going to be stuck.. Especially from the hours of 6:30am to about 8:30am or 9am Monday through Friday and from about 8/9am until 10:30am or 11am on Saturday and Sunday! The drive thru stays wrapped on that side (which is across the street from a car wash and food lion)... So just remember to try and park on the side the drive thru is on so you can get out!”
“The inside makeover, was really worth it! The atmosphere is so much nicer than before.. They even have an area to charge your phone or laptop. Service was really good, food was fresh and hot. Great improvements!”
“We love this place. I think it's hit or miss with the food. It's never bad but sometimes better than others. I really think it just depends on who is working.”
“Simple comfort food and fresh deserts. Nothing fancy.but good food in a buffet setting. Staff is very friendly and courteous and you can tell many of the patrons are regulars and have been coming here for years.”
“The fact I haven't been here before now blows my mind!We stopped in around 630 on Wednesday and I will say, the place looked closed but don't let that deter you. We walked up and were immediately greeted and seated.I ordered an apple pie cocktail (this is a must order) to start and they brought a basket of rolls. The rolls were so soft and fluffy! I know people talk about roadhouse rolls but these are definitely right up there with them! And they came with this cinnamon butter that was incredible. I may have eaten the other half of my boyfriends roll.He ordered a steak topped with Asiago and mushrooms while I ordered the new Orleans salmon. The steak was so incredibly tender. It basically melted in your mouth. My only slight disappointment was the alfredo sauce for the salmon was broken and a little lumpy. The flavor was on point but I would have preferred a non-broken alfredo sauce. This is now one of my favorite steakhouses and I'll definitely be returning in the future!”
“First time visiting there today. I ordered the Chicken Philly and it was delicious. The owner was running the register and had to compliment her on the service. This is authentic home cooking food!”
“First, the place is beautifully decorated. The service was fine, but the food was amazing! Hands down, the best grits and toast I’ve ever had. The Farmer’s omelet was delicious also; I will definitely visit again.”
