“My first time here on Wednesday. I heard so many good reviews about this place and they were all true. It was a bustling restaurant and reminded me of home. I ordered the scramble but I had my eggs fried. It was flavorful, perfectly presented, and enough for a to-go box. I was by myself and yet, my server did not neglect my coffee cup amid the full house. I will always want to return for the tasty breakfast and the warm atmosphere.”

“Got a real good breakfast here, and let me tell you the grits were in what I call a chili pot I'm talking eight quarts! It was on a double boiler so they didn't get ruined. Good coffee good food and wonderful ladies running this place and serving the customers here!”

“Literally drove an hour just to eat the food here. Service is really fast considering the amount of time and effort that goes behind making this amazing food. I would drive any amount of time through any type of weather just to eat the food here.”

“Absolutely delicious! We have been here a couple times and ordered a fresh pizza and it has been great. Tonight we got the “ grandma” pizza and it was a game changer! It is perfection and tastes like pizza should if it’s authentic. The owner is extremely kind and appreciative! It is our new favorite pizza spot!”

“Small nice place to get fresh burger or chicken sandwich. Everything was great. Staff were fantastic, food was excellent, and place was extremely clean. I could see them back there cleaning after they cooked our food since they were not too busy at the time. Always great to see a small business taking pride in what they do and I have to say even the small stuff like the cleaning doesn’t go unnoticed. Great job. If I am in the area again I will be back. Highly recommend trying this restaurant out if you haven’t !”

“Great place for live music and people watching. The staff has always been incredible and friendly and the bartenders are some of the best I've dealt with. They do a great job of looking ahead of the line to anticipate the guests needs. Even when the place is shoulder to shoulder packed, you never wait long for a drink. They do a great job booking bands and the shows are always a ton of fun.”

“Honestly the best food I've had! I got the bigger Pizzabirria and I highly HIGHLY recommend!! Also try their Jamaica drink (its kinda like a hibiscus tea!) It is SO good!! The guy was super nice and you couldn't ask for a better place to eat. Me and my boyfriend split it and we couldn't quite finish it all, we were SO full! If you're hungry, go here. Its 1000% worth it!”

“This is easily the best food I've had in the Newton area. I tried the "officer Burger" which is a burger topped with AWOL Cajun seasoning (their own blend?) Bacon House made pimento cheese and a honey sauce. This burger played so well together! The sweetness from the honey cuts what richness the pimento cheese has to offer in the best way possible! Cajun seasoning is not overwhelming or too spicy either! All that goodness is between a nice soft brioche bun, what could be better!? An absolute must try! The fries were giving off some serious "rally" vibes, unfortunately my fries were room temperature. But my waitress was sure to ask if I'd like them re cooked. Overall I'd not only suggest this place, but I'll be going back myself! Their menu is packed full of delicious looking items. And while I was there I found out that a portion of the profits go to help veterans!!Kid-friendliness: My 5 year old got the burger and fries and absolutely loved it! Great portion sizes too!”

“Small town restaurant go to for your bar-b-que and smoked meats. Bar-b-que chopped was moist perfect amount of sloppy the bread wasn't soggy and topped with in house made BBQ sauce and BBQ slaw. I wanted smoked chicken half or quarter and had asked about the chicken plate but the clerk didn't really elaborate. Great choice and worth the drive.”

“It's a nice pizza place in Downtown Newton. My parents' favorite pizza place and we had to try it while visiting from out of state.The waitress was superfrindly and helpful when ordering. The inter was large with lots of seats to accommodate a crowd.I chose a thin crust pizza with onions, peppers, broccoli, and sliced sausage. The crust was crunchy and flakey the way I like a thin crust. The toppings were plentiful and fresh. The pizza was tasty and filling.I would return here if I ever get fortunate enough to visit Newton, NC again. But my family who lives in town is here on a regular frequency.”

“Ate there to day every thing was clean the tenders where Krispy with a crunch the inside was juicy not dried out the food was prepared and given in a timely manner only suggestion is give a free drink with the krispy ”

“It was my first visit to this establishment. There was a $5 fee to join as it is a club. I was by myself and the barkeep made sure I was included with the group already there. Everybody was welcoming and I felt comfortable being there alone. I'm looking forward to my next visit.”
