“Monica did well! She was very attentive despite a busy crowd, our order was perfect and she was very friendly. I'm glad to have met her and look forward to seeing her again! Love this place!!Vegetarian options: Request's for vegetarian options are accommodated.“
“My girlfriend and I came here unexpectedly on Saturday last week. We tried to go to another restaurant and they had a 1+hour wait so we came here as a last resort. Not only did they have a dedicated parking lot downtown, they got us seated within 5 minutes of arrival. The tables weren't mid either. They came with folded napkins, candles, and flower arrangements. The food was excellent and the service was phenomenal. I found myself often admiring the service I was witnessing at OTHER tables. Overall I'd highly reccomend this restraunt for a date night or anyone trying to impress their guests.“
“Friday night got served by Claire who is by far one of the nicest waitresses in Nc - friendly professional and knowledgeable.. had the vegetarian calamari, spanakopita and amazing dessert- so I glad I live only five mins away from this place…“
“Not quite the same menu as the Nashville location. Smaller choice selections but food still excellent. We had Dan as our server and he was very attentive. He gave us the space we needed for a business dinner but also was there at the appropriate times. Kept our drinks topped off.“
“Love this place. Love the fact that they have tables outside. Food is always fresh and superb. Great atmosphere for special celebrations. Servers seems to be well trained, attentat enough but at the same time not overly intrusive. The only disappointment is their desserts. We tried almost all of them, would not recommend any.“
“Came in for brunch. The hostess was welcoming and escorted us to the bar seating when we requested. The restaurant was clean. I love the black leather seating interior throughout. We met our bartender Steven.Steven is great! Very welcoming, engaging, professional, and did a fabulous job making recommendations.I enjoyed the Gumbo grits which did not look appetizing when they arrived but it was delicious. There was sauteed chicken, sausage, and pickled okra as well as an egg that I had on the side (i ultimately added to my gumbo). I love a savory breakfast bowl and this was just that. There was also an order of catfish by the other individual in my party along with eggs, and sausage. For dessert, we tried the Sinner Rolls which were a nice sweet treat. My cocktails were espresso Hendricks martini, French 75, and cranberry mimosa... What a time!Everything was great!Steven's cocktails were top-tier.I must add the restrooms have all the hygienic things for individuals to go out in the world on the go to conquer their day. I love this!“
“Came here for the first time last weekend and all the food was so delicious! The stuffed mushrooms and meatball appetizers came out fast and were delicious. I got the beef Wellington and my partner got the beef tenderloin gnocchi and both were cooked to perfection. The service was pleasant as well. The restaurant was very loud though and would be ideal if there was more than one giant room in the restaurant. But overall, that's a good sign it's busy.“
“I love that this place is reservation, but I think you can go to the bar without one. I had the Long Island strip and my date for the evening had Steak Tartare, both were AMAZING. Also the Shrimp share platter, very much worth the wait! Quiet and relaxing. Our waitress was very professional and attentive. Dessert was chocolate cream cheese, I think lol. It was great. When you have a little extra, this place is 5-Star awesome!“
“First time visiting here even though I walk past it all the time. Came here for some brunch and got seated right away outdoors. I got the French toast with a side of fruit and a mimosa as well. The French toast was pretty feeling and I enjoyed it.Our server was nice and attentive as well.“
“Great location if you want to walk before or after eating. Food was good. Speedy to go service at dinner rush. Mustard pulled chicken was my surprise favorite meat. Brisket moist I prefer less fatty cuts. Skillet cornbread made with corn pieces which I prefer. Jalapeño cheddar sausages and bacon wrapped poppers were tasty also“
“The simplicity in the serving dishes, restaurant design, and layout are the perfect balance to the incredible food that is served. I have been to Raleigh 3 times now and every visit has included multiple trips to Beasleys. Tender chicken that’s fried to perfection. Some of the best waffles ive ever had. Biscuits and grit fries that will change your life. You really can’t go wrong with whatever it is you choose to order. An absolute must for locals and travelers alike.“
“Best First Watch in the area. Clean, fast, good customer service. I've come here with co workers during work hours and friends on the weekends and the service is consistent. Food is great and never hurts my belly. The fun drinks are awesome, morning mediation and purple haze are expensive but sooo worth it!Dietary restrictions: Shows all allergy information online, so helpful!!Parking: Lots of parking and freeKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible ramp to enter, level floor, table options, good handicap parking.“
“Great wait staff here. The smoked salmon frittata could have used a bit more flavor. The potatoes could have used a bit of seasoning imo. But I was happy with the eggs Benedict and the portion sizes here. They're super helpful to address most dietary concerns you'll have here, so don't be afraid to ask!“
“Overall great place to eat, server was friendly and fantastic. One of the few places where I did not have to ask to have my leftovers boxed. She asked and then did it. I appreciate good service. Atmosphere was good, where we were seated was not quite the spot for a business conversation but it worked.“
“Always a great stop. The latest experience, we came in for lunch, the manager was working with some trainees and got my family seated quickly. He noticed the kiddo was grumpy, so unannounced he brought out a nice little treat, which immediately brightened her morning. We couldn't flag him down again but it was such a nice gesture. Service and food was delicious as always.“
“One of my favorite local gems even on bustling weekends everyone is nice and seating is plentiful. I like the unique menu and how the staff is super knowledgeable too. I always leave feeling like I had a great experience.Vegetarian options: Lots of milk alternatives and vegan pastries“
“"I recently visited First Watch restaurant and had a fantastic experience! I ordered the Omelet with Salmon & Veg Frit, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The portion size was generous, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch.To drink, I had the Mocha Ice Coffee, which was rich and refreshing. What really impressed me was the affordable price point - I felt like I was getting a steal!Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with First Watch restaurant. The food was excellent, the price was right, and the service was friendly and attentive. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!"“
“If you're in town do not skip this joint. The retro diner vibe fits perfectly with the cocktails and (much elevated) comfort food experience. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Highly recommend the roast chicken, the "Pickle Juice" Caesar salad and the Marinated Avocado...but really everything (we ordered one-of-each entrees and shared). The Macaroni au Gratin is huge and decadent but worth it for even a few bites. Dessert may have been the best of course, which is saying a lot. Staff was great. Give yourself some time as the space is tight and deservedly crowded. In short, the awards were not wrong. Go. As often as you can.“
“Great unique delicious dishes!!! The atmosphere is great, customer service is the best in the city, and the food is top notch. My advise is to get there wayyy before they open if you want to be seated at 5. If not expect a wait, bit it is worth it. They will also serve you drinks and small bites outside while you wait. Will definitely be back!“
“I had been to the Angus Barn a few times in my younger years and remembered it fondly for many reasons. So, I was looking forward to going again recently and the Barn did not disappoint! The atmosphere was warm and romantic. The staff is friendly and our waiter was knowledgeable and delightful. The food was absolutely delicious.Wheelchair accessibility: I use a walker and forgot to tell them. They were most accommodating.“
“Overall it was great!! Food good and entertainment great!! Service at table was great but door person was a little short at one point and seemed very frustrated. But all in all it was a great night. I have to say things seem to be more entertaining when Tony is there“
“I had the best time and I’d like to talk about it.l from the moment I checked in I knew this establishment would be so special. They have fliers that say drive shack is up to par and id definitely say it was a hole in one. So what made this visit so special you ask. Well you see I was seated and greeted by Jeremy. I have never met somebody as animated as him and so kind and respectful. I asked for salt it was out instantly. I would ask for some extra ranch and it was out just as fast as the salt I had asked for. I never even had to ask for refills he was so on top of it. Jeremy didn’t just serve he made this place feel like home when I was starting to think I was all alone. He told me about his dog Jax and his Cat axel now I feel like I need to adopt some animals. We also bonded over Mario party and how he’d choose YOSHI and how I’d choose Birdo. But honestly if you want great service PLEASE go to this location and ask for Jeremy BEST SERVICE EVER“
“Pam's Farmhouse is the same as the first time I tried it several years ago: excellent !! I had the one pancake meal with country ham, and a small bowl of grits with redeye gravy. Their friendly wait staff and bus persons were kind and professional as is their norm.“
“I absolutely love their pretzels, but this is also a great place for someone looking to hang out with friends and trying something new to drink, something familiar, or looking for a challenge over time to get your plate on the wall. Good food selection.“
“My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner at Oak City Meatball. Spaghetti and meatballs is my husband's love language so he was delighted with the menu. I had the tomato sauce under my balls and found it tasty with just the right amount of garlic and texture. He had the spicy pork and I had the beef balls. Both were delicious! We will definitely be back again. Service was quick and friendly.“
“This was our first time at The Fiction Kitchen. I am the vegan in our house, but my husband is not and he was the skeptical one. Unsurprisingly, I loved my meal. Everything about what I had was delicious and flavorful. What was surprising is my husband's reaction - he said it was the best meal out he'd had in a very long time. Thank you for helping to show him that eating vegan doesn't mean you have to sacrifice anything. We both are excited to return soon and try more things on the menu.Dietary restrictions: They are easily able to accommodate gluten allergies as well as nut allergies. The menu is clearly marked and the staff is knowledgeable.“
“SERVICE/ATMOSPHERE:This place was lovely. All the staff were so sweet and helpful. Definitely a gem in downtown, great for a date or an intimate catch up with an old friend.FOOD:We started with the pimento cheese, local jam, and fig tostadas, which were INCREDIBLE!! A must have if you visit here.I got the portobello mushroom and avocado grilled cheese with tomato soup, which was okay. The cheese and avocado together were a bit heavy. My partner got the burger, which he said was awesome! He said the hand cut fries were very good.OVERALL:We had a lovely time. Shoutout to our server Dvir, impeccable vibes from him.“
“05APR24 - So good I came back! I had the shrimp and grits this time. Very good!04APR24 - HOLY WOW‼️Awesome diner in a strip mall. I got seated right away as a single diner. If I had been a party of two or more there would have been a minimum 10-minute wait. The place was busy!I had the fried chicken plate... It was half a chicken, wing, leg, breast and thigh. Fried to perfection. It came with mashed potatoes and green beans and a biscuit. All three were excellent. If you haven't been to Metro Diner you need to go. Especially if you're a fan of diners. This doesn't have the diner typical thousand thing menu but it is decent and so for the food is excellent.I will be back!Parking: Big strip mall parking lot.“
“We came here for Easter brunch, and everything was amazing. Our shaded outdoor table was reserved and ready plus the high chair was set aside for our seven month old. The brunch food was everything you could want with mimosas, chicken & waffles, and cheese grits. Matt was an exceptional server who was super kind and made sure we were well attended to. I will definitely return here in the future!Kid-friendliness: My seven month old baby boy had plenty of space and was never directly in the sun. A clean high chair was also ready for him right away.“
“Do yourself a favor and make reservations. Brunch wait was as long as an hour and a half without them. Was ok. My fork was bent which is not something I should see at this price point. Service was on the slow side but fine if you want to hang with friends. Took over an hour to order and get food but like I said we were hanging out with friends.“
“I went here to watch the game and have some food with friends tonight, it was a great time. Melody, our waitress, was attentive and on top of things even though it was packed and she was clearly really busy. We've been a few times and she's definitely our favorite - ask for her when you come!“
“I have been a patron of Margauxs for over 20 years. I’ve had some excellent dinners here, with many fish dishes as they always have some really good choices that change often. But more than that, the staff makes me feel special every time I go there. Almost every time we are deciding where to go out to eat, we are at Margauxs. We love sitting in the bar area (martini’s are the best) and seeing all the regulars.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a lift to get to lower level.“
“Taylor Casper has been trying to keep my old heating andac unit running for the last couple of years and has done a great job. However. This year the unit was on its last legs. I had no choice but to replace the heating/account unit. Taylor came back out and gave me a great price for the replacement unit. Thank you Taylor. Hopefully this will last another 15 years .“
“Came here for a party, had the place rented out. Service was awesome, the bartender was slinging cocktails just as fast as we could drink em. They made signature cocktails for the party, had personalized graphics on the tvs for the party and everyone mingled and played games and had cake. It was a blast. I'd come here even just to do a casual living room hangout with friends with the added bonus of a bartender. If you want to play a game you don't own and get some friends together, they own it. Get em together here and have some fun.“
“Extremely trendy food joint. Food was excellent and wait time was low. Prices were high at about $25 per person in our group and we didn’t get any alcohol. The guy at the counter taking orders ignored us for awhile, but everyone else working there was great.Management, please change the faucet in the restroom. Having to wash one hand at a time while holding down the faucet with the other is annoying ?Updated to 5 stars - overall was a great place“
“Let me start off by saying this food is something so special! Everything I have tried is beyond delicious (even things I don’t usually enjoy). Today I ordered to go through Grubhub and when I arrived the owner let me know it was a mistake on Grubhub’s part, they contacted them months ago to shut down their store. She offered me a meal AND dessert for free even though the situation wasn’t her fault at all. Grubhub refunded my money and I got to eat one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Will continue to support this amazing company because their food and their people are out of this world!Vegetarian options: Vegetarians can eat everything on the menuKid-friendliness: Great kids menuDietary restrictions: So good for vegans and vegetarians“
“Truly an experience. Great Service, (Thanks Kayla) Great Atmosphere, Old World feel! The care and attention to the detail of preparation and presentation of the food is Top Notch! Each dish with its own distinct personality and flavor profile! I'm going back, soon, and again and again. Best Tapas in the Triangle. So many items left untried... Recommend 10/10!“
“There's a reason Scott Crawford is a five-time James Beard semi-finalist, and it shows. Crawford and Son easily competes with some the best showstoppers competing for recognition in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Contemporary, clean, elegant and refined no dish was disappointing. Service was excellent. Even the timing of the dishes coming out of the kitchen was perfect. I would easily visit his small bistro Jolie (next door) upon another visit to Raleigh.“
“Hadn't been to YH in a long while. Was a busy Sunday afternoon so had to wait a while and waited a bit for our waitress to come but the service was great once it started and the food was very good. I had the Korean BBQ Cheesesteak...didn't eat a lot of the bread, just the toasted part.. It was delicious...as was the Cocacola chocolate dessert! I will definitely go back for those items!Parking: There are a few parking spaces right next to the restaurant but those can fill up quickly. There is a parking deck directly across from the restaurant and a couple others available of you want to enjoy a nice little walk.“
“Born too early to be an online influencer. Born too late to develop generational wealth. However, I would give all of those rewards up for another opportunity to be served by Stephanie at the Falls of Neuse location. The service she provided reminded me of the time I had to make an emergency stop at the Ritz in Paris: only the highest quality for her V.I.P. customers.Don't get me started on the food. The food reminded me of the foie gras at Le Fouquet. Simply delectable. All in all my experience at the bad daddy's off of falls of Neuse road can be described in only one way: Absolute Cinema“
“Had brunch with my sister. I can't Rabe enough about this place. I lived in the South all my life, and that's the best biscuit i have ever had. It was big but fluffy and soft. Not dry a bit and homemade apple butter. We had drinks of course. She had the 5 mini jars of mimosas, but the "winter wonderland" was lite but refreshing. And for breakfast, the stuffed French toast was scrumptious it was drizzled with a raspberry compote no syrup neededYou're missing out if u don't eat here“
“What a fantastic local diner run by the nicest people you'll ever meet.We came in for a late brunch about an hour and a half before closing and it was pretty quiet so service was quick. We seated ourselves and had our drink orders taken immediately and placed our orders which took maybe 10-15 minutes to come out, very fast.We had the country fried steak, egg, and cheese sandwich and the BLT with fries and everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. It easily beats out anything I ever had from Denny's or IHOP. Since it's right in our neighbourhood, we'll definitely be back often!“
“One of the few places that serve chilaquiles in the area. Choice of sauces with it too! Great service with really good variety of dishes. Tamales on Sundays. Will definitely be back to try the fried fish options. Nothing fancy with the decor but you’ll enjoy the food!“
“Great food and atmosphere especially for special occasions like birthdays! The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly! It is quite expensive so it's a place you can only go every once in a while. The food was great and I've eaten at many nice restaurants.“
“It is a staple in Raleigh! Their wedge salad is second to none. Consistently good supplementing their menu with great specials. Always save for dessert with a variety of specialty cakes. Reservations advised or you may have to wait. Parking around neighborhood can be challenging. Highly “
“Love the redo of the interiors. Very nice. Good vibes from staff all around. Menu really nice. Great selections. I had the grouper which was delish and my friend had the quail special which was very nice as well. Service was superb. Will definitely come back!“
“Love this place. It's so cute and fun to be in. The upstairs is a little gift shop with quite a large selection of items. And then the food/bar is located downstairs. The service is quick, food came out hot and fresh and everyone was very friendly.“
“Had the best meal ever, again! I'm never disappointed when I eat at J Alexanders. The wait was an hour, so we sat at the bar. Emily took care of us with another handsome (African-American) man (wish I would have gotten his name). They were both so attentive and detail oriented. I can't say enough about my favorites offerings... ThaiKai Salad, Steak and Frites (perfect temperature) and the Carrot Cake. The service and atmosphere are wonderful too but will take second place to the fabulous food.“
“I had the City Sampler which is brisket, pulled pork, sausage, and turkey with two sides. Definitely plenty of food for lunch and dinner later. Tried all of their sauces at the sauce bar and maybe it's the North Carolinian in me but I preferred the swine wine on the pork and turkey. Brisket needs no sauce and is melt in your mouth delicious. Collards were ok but the Mac was amazing!“
“Review:My wife and I share a deep appreciation for hotdogs, so when I stumbled upon this spot on Facebook, we were eager to give it a try. First time experiences mean a lot to us, regardless of the context, so we approached our visit with a mixture of anticipation and curiosity.Upon arrival, it was evident that the owner was in the midst of renovations, which somewhat affected the atmosphere. However, we believe in honesty when it comes to reviews, hence the 3-star rating in this category. Despite the ongoing changes, there was an air of excitement and potential that hinted at what was to come. Now, let’s talk about the food. It was nothing short of exceptional. You could immediately discern that the owner takes great pride in serving top-notch fare. Each bite of the hotdogs was a testament to the care and attention to detail put into crafting them. Moreover, the variety offered was impressive, catering to different dietary preferences and restrictions. My wife, who typically avoids pork and beef, was delighted to find a Turkey Chilli option on the menu, further enhancing our dining experience.Beyond the delectable food, what truly stood out was the owner’s exemplary customer service. From the moment we walked in, he made us feel like old friends, warmly welcoming us and engaging us in friendly conversation. It was evident that he genuinely cared about his customers’ satisfaction, going above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable dining experience. In conclusion, despite the ongoing renovations, our visit to this hotdog spot exceeded our expectations in terms of both food quality and customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and left with the intention of becoming regular patrons. We eagerly anticipate returning to see how the establishment evolves and to indulge in more of their delicious offerings. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of our experience, highlighting both the strengths and areas for improvement while expressing our genuine enthusiasm for this hidden gem of a hotdog spot.“
