“My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner at Oak City Meatball. Spaghetti and meatballs is my husband's love language so he was delighted with the menu. I had the tomato sauce under my balls and found it tasty with just the right amount of garlic and texture. He had the spicy pork and I had the beef balls. Both were delicious! We will definitely be back again. Service was quick and friendly.“
“This place is a hidden gem. Samsas were flaky and the filling was so decedent. Loved the Plov too, the meat was very tender. The beef kababs were okay in my opinion, didn't find anything special. I want to come back to try other dishes on the menu. The kachapuris looked awesome so have to give it a try.“
“This place is outstanding. Travel always eat Italian all over the USA. With out hesitation this is great. Red “gravy” is the best. Nothing negative to say in this delicious restaurant! Raleigh do not miss out! You will need a reservation. Or sit at the Bar!“
“Perfect place to enjoy a Wolfpack atmosphere, good food and great service with Shannon! After a great run what better place to celebrate the Wolfpack than with Shannon as your server! Makes you feel like family, remembers your order and provides fantastic service!“
“You’re wasting your time if you go to another pizza place. Mike’s pizza is the most authentic and genuine experience you can get around here.Parking: Plenty shopping center parkingKid-friendliness: Brought my baby and toddler. Never an issue“
“Chow now more like chow later.Ordered food at 6:08pm on Friday. Was told 25-30 minutes according to online ordering/chow now.Once ordered new time was 1 hour and 20!!!Don’t trust chow now.Restaurant was willing to cover the order without me asking. Kudos to them. So 5 stars. Great service from restraunt but not from online orderer they are using.“
“Don't judge a book by its cover!! That's all you need to know about Frank's. We were in Raleigh for the day and looking for some authentic NY style pizza. I found an article online that talked about how great Frank's is and we decided to give it a shot. Upon arrival, we realized we were in what appeared to be a sketchy part of town. Trash everywhere in the plaza parking lot and some shady looking characters hanging around. We came very, very close to leaving due to this first impression, but I'm SO glad we didn't. Once we were inside of the restaurant, the uneasy feeling we had in the parking lot disappeared entirely. The atmosphere was cozy and warm, staff was attentive, and food was off the charts!! Everything we ordered tasted like it was made from scratch and the prices were very reasonable. I hate that Frank's is likely losing customers due to factors beyond their control, like their location and the shady characters in the area. They really do rank among the best pizza joints I have ever eaten at. If you're in the area, please give them a try. It's worth it!“
“I normally don’t do foodie posts, but this San Franciscan has found a fabulous little Italian hole in the wall restaurant! The garlic knots were insanely good, hot, and served with marinara. My Farmaggio calzone was not too greasy and scored to allow the cheese to ooze through. The bread was brushed in a buttery garlic glaze that made it crisp but not overly buttery. It’s been two years since I tasted Italian this good! I cannot wait to try their lasagna, Penne all’s Vodka and tiramisu!!!“
“This place was amazing. The ambiance was fabulous and I just loved the attention to detail from the staff. I ordered pasta and it was delicious. The food was fresh and served piping hot. I enjoyed watching the couple next to me savor every dish. Purchased a bottle of Moscato and it did not disappoint. I have placed this place in my downtown Raleigh rotation. Next time I think I will make an earlier reservation to give myself more time to relax and enjoy.Great place for a first date or fate night. Next time I'll take photos!“
“Figulina has done an excellent job transforming the Humble Pie space into a pasta-making Mecca. You can watch the chefs hard at work making wells in dough and forming the sheets for ravioli and agnolotti. Our service was a bit spotty but the food was wonderful. We tried the Doppio Ravioli, which was delectable with roasted carrots in half and rabbit confit in the other. The Pappardelle Bolognese was also hearty and flavorful. We also tried the Brussels which are served in a cold salad and the beets with whipped ricotta. My dinner companions did not love the soda bread that came with the lamb rillette but the dish itself was tasty. We will definitely be back for more of the fresh Italian pasta with an English twist!“
“First and foremost let me say thank you for the very gracious military discount. I didn't even get discounts like that from the military itself lol. Okay now the food. So many great pizza choices, he salad bar is pretty large for a pizza place, the pasta is always fresh, and they even have ribs and chicken most of the time I go. I wonder if this is a Pizza Buffet or just a potluck diner hiding in plain site? So many amazing options. My only beef is I feel like Milton's is keeping me chubby lol I go in saying just 2 plates and I'm out. 8 plates later.......... Oh and I always crave them on Mondays when they are closed. I feel like we need a few more Miltons in the area.“
“We really like Vivace. Nice staff, tasty food, great location. Probably one of our favorite easy lunch spots- they have great salads. The only reason this is not 5 stars is we love sitting on the patio and often on the patio they have music playing that is too loud and not matching their clientele. It gives 20 something rooftop bar vibes, not nice lingering lunch vibes. Maybe that is what some prefer, but judging on who is usually eating there, I’d say it’s not what most people would prefer. We’ve mentioned it to our waiters and we’ve been told to write a review if we’d like to give feedback, so here you are.We do recommend Vivace- note, they also do have highcahairs. On a nice day we’ve enjoy bringing our toddlers to the patio- the staff are patient and nice with our kids and there’s an enough space that they can move a little too.Kid-friendliness: High chairs available and patient with kids.“
“Helpful and friendly staff, food was delicious and priced great! Good portion of meat and vegetables in the pasta unlike some places. Plus it was enough for lunch and dinner too. I will definitely come back. They give you a ticket to go pay at the cashier.“
“When I first moved down here from New Jersey, my brother and I found Vivo. We were so grateful because where we are from, we are used to having top notch authentic Italian places close by. When we first came, we were ecstatic about the food. It made us feel like we were back home a filled a huge void that we had in the southern Italian scene. Pizza, pastas, and especially the pasta fagioli soup absolutely incredible never tasted a better version, in fact, as an avid home cook, I tried to dissect what they were doing to make the soup so flavorful and delicious. I came to the conclusion/assumption that they must have been blending some of the ingredients like the beans and veg into the broth, which gave it the perfect viscosity and flavor. I have recommended Vivo to over 100 people as a hidden gem of the area because of this soup alone lol.A little bit back, they started to make some changes. Starting with the menu, which eliminated both my brother and I's go to entrees (chicken cannelloni and linguine w clams/shrimp). Of course restaurants want to stay exciting and make changes which I support, but these changes did not seem to be going in a better direction. (IMO) We made adjustments because prior, everything was delicious. We started trying some new things and a lot of it still great, but the new items didn't quite do it like the old. If they did, I would have no complaints. Lately, the changes have become a little intolerable. Mainly because the quality of food has been falling off a bunch. My brother was always very into the chopped salad, the way it was finely chopped and loaded w great accoutrements, good acid, although now it has become more leafy, less dressed (mostly oil)less chopped, and less topped. The most heartbreaking change has to be the soup tho. It went from what I have called the best soup I have ever had, to what tastes like chicken broth out of the box. It lost all of its thick rich flavor and has been a huge disappointment which has led to our decline in going. I hate to talk like this about Vivo because they are great people who has brought us many great meals, but I want to bring awareness to whoever can control these variables that it is very recognizable to the customers. Whether it is to save time money or effort, it has been the cause of losing some of your most loyal customers and may not be worth it.There are still plenty of things that are incredible about Vivo, and I do plan to come back, but what was once a weekly routine that we looked forward to has fallen off our list of options quickly with the changes that have taken place over the past year. At the very least, bring the old pasta fagioli recipe back. I'm writing this review because we were just talking about where we should eat tonight, which used to not even be a question for our early in the week dinner routine, because we always wanted Vivos. And I'm sad to say that we don't consider it anymore because of the kitchens decline. I am still giving four stars because of all the joy that this place has brought us in the past. Thank you for reading and I hope management/kitchen take this in a way that can help Vivo in the long run.“
“I saw this place on door dash and wanted to visit for a while. It was definitely better than I expected! I didn't realize they had so many options. I got the three cheese manicotti and it was delicious and well made. The amount of sauce and cheese was perfect and they have parmesan on the tables as well. The bread was outstanding, soft with a crispy crust. The sweet tea does have a lemony flavor which I enjoyed but I know not everyone might. My friend ordered the baked ziti and had no issues. Definitely give it a try!“
“Very nice ambience and the service was very good (the drinks could have taken less time to receive). The waiter was Excellent! I would say the food was good but not great. The pizza was doughy, not like a brick oven upscale restaurant I'm used to. The appetizers were good. For dinner I had pasta and most of our table had pasta. I would say we enjoyed it but not a wow factor. It's a solid restaurant.“
“My new favorite restaurant, we moved to Creedmoor about a year and a half ago now and we have been looking for a restaurant that consistently delivers.Happy to say Milton's is definitely on our short list of favorites. Highly recommend just about everything I've tried here so far but the lasagna was really something special!“
“Being a native New Yorker always looking for good pizza and Peri Brothers is it the crust is thin the sauce is top notch and the people are hard to come by in food service. It is the best Pizza in NC with out doubt. Thank you for making our day my wife loves it just as much.“
“Gigi was an excellent server. There was an available table in the bar area and she made us feel welcome, valued and supported. The food was hot and tasty with a large serving size. She was extremely gregarious and attentive to our needs. Overall, she exhibits extraordinary customer service skills friendly polite and helpful. We will return and ask our host to seat us at one of the tables in her work station.“
“Overall Rating: 5.6/10Ordered takeout for dinner, and it was fine but didn't stand out. The wings were definitely the better part of the meal compared to the pizza.Food:Thin Crust Pizza: 5.1/10The pizza was okay. The middle seemed too thick. The sauce was the highlight, adding some needed flavor.Buffalo Wings: 6.1/10The wings were the highlight – crispy and flavorful. I chose the mild option, and it was just the right level of spice, making them enjoyable.“
“Hands down the BEST pizza in Raleigh! After moving here last year from Chicago I’ve been disappointed in the overall “food” this area has to offer, especially the PIDZ!! A flyer was sent in my mailbox and I was elated to find this is a Chicago based chain!! I was finally happy to find an AMAZOS pizza that I can finally eat and truly enjoy!! ???. My only complaint is the hours. You need to open for lunch during the week also instead of after 3:30. I’ve ordered delivery and have done dine-in. Service is always friendly and fast. Please note for Non Chicagoans: if ordering a DEEP DISH PIDZ it will take 45-1 hr this is an amazing pidz worth waiting for and you will see WHY when you get it!! Enjoy ?????“
“Leo's is located where Mia Francesca used to be--right next to the lobby in the Renaissance Hotel. Our daughter had her wedding reception here in its former life as Mia Francesca. So this spot is near and dear to us. We are happy to see the space reclaimed by another wonderful Italian restaurant like Leo's. On this night, they featured live music. The restaurant has elegant decor but still has a casual feel. Nice for date night. The food was absolutely delicious! For starters, we had the beef carpaccio, which was excellent as it was prepared the way we are accustomed. Hubby was delighted that it came with shallots and capers! Next, we had calamari, which was fried to perfection; nice large slices versus being bits and pieces. The batter was nicely seasoned, and the portion was generous. For our entrees, hubs had the chicken parm. The filet was pounded thin the way he likes; and seasoned just so (and not too much breading and not greasy) and topped with pomodoro sauce. The twist was that his pasta (herbed linguini) was topped with a creamy rich white sauce. Ooo yum! I had the lasagna, which came out piping hot. The noodles were cooked just so--tender and smothered in a rich bolonese sauce, which was house made. The bolonese sauce layered with the ricotta, mozzarella, pomodoro, and alfredo sauce combo was pure YUMMMY DELICIOUSNESS! Dessert was a gooey butter cake with a generous scoop of vanilla bean gelato and fresh strawberries. The cake was moist and sweet; which the strawberries countered quite well. And who doesn't love gelato? Yum yum yum! The service was top tier--from the hostess' warm greeting and big smile to Lexi, who was our lovely waitress. She was soft spoken, attentive and always smiling. She was superb! DINNER WAS FOLLOWED UP WITH 2 COMPLEMENTARY GLASSES OF CHAMPAGNE!! EXCELLENT WAY TO END A FANTASTIC DINNING EXPERIENCE! We found a new happy place.“
“Ordered their lunch portion of spaghetti and meatballs and it was absolutely delicious! Best spaghetti I have had in a while!! Also throughly enjoyed the garlic rolls it came with. Will absolutely be returning. Thank you for your hard work and delicious food!“
“Farina Neighborhood Italian is one of our favorites for date nights, celebrations, or just grabbing a quick bite to eat. Located in Lafayette Village it is nestled in an array of shops and other restaurants and is always our go-to. The staff is kind and welcoming, and the food is always delicious. Portion sizes are generous and having the option to share plates and eat family-style is a great option. We will continue to be repeat customers and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere created here.“
“We wanted pasta and bread but didn’t want to sit down at an Italian restaurant. This was the perfect quick dinner. Kinda of reminds you of Chipotle/Cava but for pastas. They have bowls and wraps too but their garlic Parmesan bread was amazing! They made our salmon to order so there was a little bit of a wait but it was worth it— the best FAST CASUAL salmon we’ve ever had! ?“
“I tried this place for the first time in my life Saturday as my son and I were staying in Raleigh for the weekend. I ordered the special they had at the time with a two topping large pie with cheeses bread, wings and a 2 liter soda for roughly $30. I also got an order of their “Douby Douby Bread”. First thing I tried was the cheesebread. I instantly looked at my son all wide eyed and instantly started saying, “Bro.. Bro.. Bro.. Broo.. Brooooo!” So I see how they got their name. Everything was hot and fresh and was ready exactly when promised. Everything from ordering to pickup was extremely easy. Their marinara/sauce for the bread was to die for and hot (temperature wise) too. My son (8) was equally impressed and said we should come back more often. I agreed to do so even though we live over 2 hours away, close to Charlotte, NC. I intend to keep this promise. Amazing, thank you for the amazing food. My only regret is not tipping the bill because it was amazing! I would have added pictures but all I had left by the time we got back to hotel was bones and some garlic sauce remnants. Happy Customer Here!Parking: Located in a fairly large shopping mall with plenty of place to park.“
“OMG‼️‼️‼️ THE PIZZA ?WAS AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS ?I had the Margarita pizza and a regular slice ?Both were Absolutely Delicious ?‼️‼️‼️The owner Leo and his team were great ‼️It was my 1st time eating their pizza and I will be a regular customer and tell all my friends from NYC that I finally found a pizzeria that makes pizza like the authentic New York style pizza!!It’s the Real Deal ‼️Leo.. you were right ????????❤️?“
“UPDATE: I have the pizza another chance after realizing the first time I had the pizza, I was sick due to COVID which coincided with the timing of the pizza. So my apologies. The pizza made us sick. We had loose bowels and throw up middle of the night. The flavor of the pizza and wings is legitimately good though.“
“This place is incredible! I had the Dante's Inferno pizza which was probably the best I've ever had. Not only was it spicy, but it had several different kinds of spice. They also made a specialty drink for the film I'm in called, "The Blind Date," which incorporated a small light in the actual drink! But the best part of all was the seemingly ENDLESS cheese strand in their calzones. It was the closest thing to tasting Heaven I've had in a while. My back was to the wall when I was holding this, it was amazing! This place truly is the table where memories are made.“
“We went here for our daughters 26th birthday celebration. We brought our own cake for after dinner. The staff kept it abd brought it out at the right time with candles lit and the server also joining in to sing happy birthday. The food was great as always along with the service. We were there early at about 5:15. Enjoyed some apps , wine , etc.My wife and I enjoy going here as the all the people treat you like family. ?“
“Absolutely delicious Gourmet Stuffed Spinach & Mushroom Pizza! ? (which is quite possibly the *BEST* white pizza in the region)Also have a pretty good Chicken Alfredo.Garlic Bread can be hit-or-miss: sometimes great & soft, sometimes tough & dense…Having a costumer-exclusive semi-enclosed dining area somewhat separated from the rest of the mall food court is nice too.⚠️ONLY 1 FREE REFILL / DRINK!⚠️“
“My wife and I recently enjoyed a visit to Mega Pizza, and our choice was the 10-inch chicken pesto pizza. This pizza was not only well-made but also perfectly portioned for two people to share. The flavors were decent, and we appreciated the balance of ingredients. What truly impressed us was the convenience of ordering ahead of pickup. Calling in our order was not only easy but also a fun experience. The staff at Mega Pizza made the process smooth and efficient, ensuring our meal was ready when we arrived.Mega Pizza offers a hassle-free way to enjoy a tasty pizza. While the toppings were decent, the standout feature was the ease of ordering, making it a great option for a quick and satisfying meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was very relaxed and mellow, setting the stage for a pleasant and stress-free dining experience at Mega Pizza. It provided the perfect backdrop for enjoying a delicious meal without any rush or distractions.“
“This was a surprisingly good place! I always am picky about Italian food because I spent a month or so in southern Italy and it high key ruined my ability to enjoy normal American italian food.Anyway! My friend got a feta and some other type of cheese calzone and thought it was great! (It had real feta!) I got chicken parm. The sauce was super nice and it was a good amount of chicken and pasta. The salad was fresh too! It's in a little building, and I only found it because of reviews on Google. Make sure you park in the paved lot to the left~In short, give it a shot! You'll probably be pleasantly surprised!“
“This pizza parlor truly feels like a taste of home, reminiscent of Long Island, New York. The buffalo chicken and pepperoni pizza combination is a personal favorite, and the garlic knots are a must-try – soft and perfect for dipping in sauce. While there's ample seating indoors, we prefer takeout. The staff is incredibly friendly and even remembers regular customers. Consistently great experiences here, highly recommend giving it a try!“
“This place always always always rocks. Good food. Cool atmosphere. Service is always solid. Owners are local. And just a good go to place. Can’t go wrong Coming here. And very nice place to bring your group” for a night out. Local place that’s been around since early 80’s. In Cameron village so good location too!! One of favorites in Raleigh.“
“Chicken was so tender! Bit disappointed in the fried cheese and veggies. Our waiter disappeared to the point I had to go ask around for him. We had been waiting for our check for 15 minutes and he was just gone. But prior to that he had been pleasant. We were looking for good Italian food, this worked.“
“Best restaurant in Raleigh and has an experienced staff! Been going 15 years and it just keeps getting better. I have referred dozens of people to BELLA over the years and they have done the same. Only 2nd review I've ever taken time to write up so kudos!“
“I don't know why I have not tried this place before. Other than being a little tight between the tables, the place was awesome. From the crunchy bread with garlic pesto sauce to the fried oysters to the mushroom chicken dish, all the food was delicious. The service was fabulous and let's not forget the Tiramisu and cannoli for desert were to die for. Oh yeah you can bring your favorite bottle of wine too and pay a corkage fee. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.“
