We and the kids came downtown for a day out and my better half picked Parkside for us to all try and I'm so glad he did. As a Raleigh Native and have traveled all across our beautiful state, I love our down home good ol country cookin. I was a little skeptical at first, but I had the brisket scramble bowl. We made reservations for lunch time and were seated promptly by the courteous hostess. Our server Emma was exceptional. She provided great menu selection guidance. The pork chop was the best we've had which was fried with a delicious batter. The Buffalo chicken Cobb salad was very good. Portions were very nice. Overall was a very good experience and will definitely be back

I had made a reservation, but we didn't even need it for 6:00 on a Tuesday. There weren't many people there, so we got quick service. I got a sour that was good, and the meat and three, which was fried chicken that day. I got broccoli, fries, and a Caesar salad as my sides. They give you a hefty serving size.
