We drove 35 miles to eat at short sugars. They are the best bbq place around. We haven't been there for 2 yearsWe were looking forward to going. We are so disappointed. The bbq and bun was cold. They fried the onions too hard. They were hard to eat. The tea is not sweet at all. Want be back.
Famous location, I'm new to the state and part of the Alure of Rockingham county is the local charm and long-standing business here I found the food Better then most with the Coldslaw the BEST I've ever had anyplace, Our server was charming but did neglect to tell us anything about the location or setup (Suaces on table ect) I'd absolutely recommend

It's been 30+ years since we have been here as we moved out of state but had the opportunity to revise an old establishment that brought back many good memories. Time has taken its toll on this place, as is evident by the condition of the building, which could use some serious updating/repairs. The waitress was very friendly and the food was great. They still have the teenage burgers that they were known for back in the day and I got BBQ which was very good also.
