I got fried shrimp and fries, my wife got 2 pieces of flounder filet fried. It may be a NC thing, but the batter used on both tasted bland. Her flounder had bones in it... A Filet! Granted we came late to the resturant, after 8pm, but the floor was filthy and the countertops were sticky. There seemed to be only two overworked waitresses for the entire place on a friday night. Really disappointed with this location as compared to Raleigh and Wilson. First off, service was awesome and waitress was phenomenal. Tables were sticky. Food was hot but it was very apparent that old food had been mixed with fresh. Ordered a large fried shrimp plate with fries and slaw. About three-fourths of the shrimp were dark brown, old and hard to stab with a fork while the remaining was golden brown, tender and fresh.
