I’m from NYC and to date had yet to find a restaurant that could successfully make a NY style steak sandwich, until I visited La Montesina,! Absolutely stellar, fresh, tasty, and wrapped NYC Style!!!!!
I’m a truck driver and get out and about. I’m stuck in the area while my trailer is getting repaired. I asked the guys at the repair shop for an independent Italian / pizza style place that isn’t a large chain. They recommended this place. I got here and the place looked super nice and it is worth noting super clean looking too. Great job on that aspect. I ordered the chicken parm and had meat sauce added. It was a crime how slow the place was during lunch hours! Look at the pics of the food. It speaks for itself. I mean the cheese pull from that bite of pizza was absolute perfection. Garlic knots came out hot and fresh, with drips of garlic sauce on the plate to slide the knots in. Crispy outside, light and airy on the inside.
