“This place still has its local charm, which is incredibly rare these days. I came in for lunch, had the chopped BBQ plate, and I gotta say it was amazing. Great flavor on the meat, as well as bother the Sweet & Smokey and Vinegar based sauces. Even their coleslaw and hush puppies were great.I had mentioned to the waitress that this was my first time visiting, and she was kind enough to give me a sample of their Banana Pudding, which deserves its own review as well! It was a perfect lunch! 100% on my list of places to come back to.“
“We just had the most AMAZING dinner! Everything was superb! What a great chef they have! I got a martini (can’t remember name but had honey in it) which was the best martini I’ve ever had! The dinner and desert was perfect! I love 220 Cafe!!!!“

“Food was surprisingly good. I had the 9oz filet, and it was cooked a perfect medium rare as requested. We also did a take out order for one of our kids who was out in the truck with the dog, and it came quickly and had all the required items so he could eat. The only negative was that they do not have fresh horseradish.Parking: We had a truck and car trailer. Plenty of parking as they are co-located with a Wal-Mart.“
“Starving when I arrived! The hostess asked me if I wanted to eat on the patio, at the bar, or at a table; told her whatever got me fed fastest! She laughed and set me at a table in the bar. The bartender suggested the ribeye sandwich and I'm glad I listened to him. The sandwich was delicious, 8 oz ribeye, candied bacon (I think) on a soft bun. There were other toppings on the sandwich, but it was so good that I really ate too quickly to remember what they were. The sandwich did come with a side of fries, almost like wedges. The fries were almost curly with a crispy outside and a soft steamy inside. Very tasty!Thanks Twisted Oak for saving me from starvation with such delicious food!“
“Best hotdog in Statesville. Purchased a cowboy burger also the was off the chain good. If you live in Statesville or just passing through and don’t eat there that’s your loss. The staff was extremely friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Keep you the great service and providing great tasting food!“

Too the Owners of this facility thank You for staying open till 10 the cook in there needs a raise and the hostess was very nice. They are slowly disappearing across the country, so every chance I get, I go out of my way to enjoy.The Lunch Box has been around for decades, shows its age, but I wouldn't change a thing. As to food, the menu has five weekly specials. Burgers are a big seller equal to any $15 burger but half the price. I shared the Wednesday. Special beef stew on rice, pinto beans, and cabbage with my partner as we are petite eaters... Mamma, take me home:) nothing fancy, just satisfying home cooked fare. If you get a chance, a must stop along the less traveled road.“

“This is a basic little cafeteria attached to a pharmacy but they have some surprisingly delicious food. It’s not gourmet, but they have breakfast, salads, sandwiches, soup, comfort, food, and burgers. They are reasonably priced. The service is very prompt and friendly and it’s convenient.“
“I was alone and an older person...usually that means I get quick surface service. This evening the service was great. The food was wonderful and when I asked to take leftovers home they were neatly packaged and extra rolls were added. This is my second solo visit and I will go back! And they give a military discount which as a veteran I really appreciate!“

“Love, love, love the food. The staff is so nice as well. My friend and I went and I had the grilled cheese with apple, rosemary, and bacon. I never knew a grilled cheese could be so delectable. My friend had the Krispy creme burger. My friend loved his burger so much he ordered one to go lol. I also ordered a parfait to go and what a treat. The mimosas are very tasty. Next time I'm in Statesville I will definitely be back.“
