For lunch, if you have time to go downtown, you can't beat sub express. Look at the sandwich I order. Loaded, with a big side of pasta salad and drink for $14. You can dine in and enjoy the older decor or you can take it to go. There is a 3% credit card fee now

Love this place for lunch especially during mild weather in the falls because you can enjoy food outside and get some sun.Unless you are a bodybuilder, half sandwich is pretty good size for a meal. Other deli place you might need a full sandwich because they skim on the meat but not here. Every thing is good, quality meat, and now they also have soup. Perfect combo for lunch. I like this better than Groucho and Publix because of the environment and servings.

We love this place. It’s been here for 40ish years, and is a Statesville Staple. Plenty of parking on the street or in the BoA lot next door.It’s clean and cute inside. The building is deeper than it looks (bigger in the inside!) and has plenty of seating. They are super fast but everything is made to order, so you might have to wait.Good sized menu, with just about every combo of sub & sandwich you can think of.
