We are so pleased we found the Twisted Oak. They have the best Gluten Free Hambrger bun on a delicious steak ground hamburger. The best curly fries ever. My husband likes the Shrimp and Grits. The waitress are delightful and the food arrives hot and quickly. We stopped in last week and split soup that was fabulous.
We had stopped for the night on our way back to GA from Northwest VA. We went to the Twisted Oak after browsing through Google. Twisted Oak is located in a large, older building in Statesville NC. Interior and exterior is brick. Very high ceilings, a very airy and spacious atmosphere. The service was excellent and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu items. My wife asked her about the Short rib beef dinner and she recommended it as one of the favorites on the menu....read full review

I had the pork chop. Very good. The sides were carrots and mashed potatoes. Both sides were great as well. The carrots were roasted with herbs. My wife had a chicken dish over pasta that she said was very good as well. They have a HUGE bourbon selection. We loved it all!
