Even if you have free gift cards to OG, that national chain, throw them in the trash and go as fast as you can to Vesuvio’s in Statesville. It’s the best and most authentic Italian I’ve had in many years.
We were going to go to the Mexican restaurant right across the plaza but it was slam full on a Tuesday around 6 at night. Surprised, we saw Vesuvio's and decided to give it a chance instead of wait.We had some bread with balsamic, olive oil and spices which was delicious according to the wife. I ate none of it so I'll take her word for it, and she loves her crusty but soft inside bread.
