“Went buy to get some pretzel bread to go with soup for dinner, got the pretzel braided bread. Came with directions and bag of salt, did what it said in the oven for few minutes, and was delicious, warm and tasty. Great with soup for a more hearty meal. There were seats inside and out with a nice selection of beer to enjoy while there.Parking: You can park in front if shop”
“Moments is what you'd hope for: a cozy little coffee shop with tasty pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and lattes. Far too often I walk into a coffee shop with poor acoustics or a loud atmosphere, but the quaintness of Moments offers a serene escape. The warm lighting and comfortable seating invite you to stay awhile, whether you're diving into a good book or catching up with a friend. The staff at Moments are not just baristas; they are artisans of comfort, crafting each drink with care and a smile. Their attention to detail, from the frothy heart atop your cappuccino to the perfectly flaky croissants, makes every visit a delightful experience. It's more than a coffee shop; it's a little haven in our growing little town.”
“Such a cute little spot! I got the Philly Cheese Steak Omelet (no peppers cause I’m a baby) and they loaded it down with onions and mushrooms to make up for the no peppers. OMG so delicious! The omelet was so fluffy and delicious and the steak, mushrooms, and onions were seasoned so nice! The biscuits with gravy are delicious!!! I could have gotten just that and been happy too lol. Everyone here is so sweet too. They greet everyone like they’ve known them for years (which they probably have as they knew almost every one by name!)Definitely will be back. Yum!”
“I love hot dog king. Hot dog King his my family says I was in my mama's stomach. So Hot dog King is my parents the workers there are fantastic I love them to. Coming to have a little King to work can you automatically my family shout out to Sam and the whole team January 17th 2024”
“We stumbled on this little place coming home from Gatlinburg and stopped for lunch and it was GREAT! The building (inside & out) looked a little old somewhat outdated, (but hey, those can be some of the best places to eat) and the parking lot was full, so we thought what the heck let's try it and we were glad we did... The service & food was terrific, and their prices are not too bad. My wife for the spaghetti, salad (and their Homemade Greek Dressing was awesome) & garlic bread. I got the Ham & Cheese sub with Potato Salad, and both were really good and we had plenty enough to bring home for supper. We travel to Gatlinburg often, so we have found a new place to have lunch when coming home...!”
“I came here with a group of 8 friends and it was a truly amazing experience! The service was amazing and everyone was so nice, not to mention how delicious the food was.”
“Takeout. Ropa Vieja, a Cuban dish was superb! The shredded pork was flavourful and the fresh peppers colorful and tasty. Even the yellow rice tasted good. And the plantains were fantastic, for two days. $5 several servings.Once before stopped here and picked up a burrito. It was so overstuffed I didn’t know how to eat it!Going again and want to try more of the dishes I’m unfamiliar with.Sense this is a gem of a place, in an unassuming location.”
“I wish I could remember the girl's name who made our sandwiches. But she was the best I've ever seen. Very friendly and service oriented. And she had our sandwiches made almost by the time we finished ordering.”
“The Food and Service is good But be prepared to spend alot of money. For 2 large and 1 small pizzas and 1 small order of wings I spent 75 bucks!!! I just can't do that on my budget. That is gonna be a every once in awhile meal. Lol.”
“The fries are usually bad at Burger King, not because I don't like the fries but because most places either serve them stale or don't salt them. They did a decent job here and I was able to enjoy themThe original chicken sandwich here wasn't perfect but had some crunch to it and was made fresh”
“Always great service! Always happy faces! My favorite Starbucks! Can't go wrong when going here! We love this place so much! Much love for Mrs. Monique & all of her wonderful staff ❤”
“Just want to say the service was great. Also hope the lady in the black Ford Fusion, that paid for our order will see this. We were in the black GMC truck. The young man at the window said you paid for our order because you seen the Marine sticker on the truck.. Thank you! Really appreciate it.. I wish some one was behind me so I could have paid it forward. Thanks again. Tim”
“Now that I have moved back to Swannanoa and there are less restaurant choices, I have tried Popeyes. I really enjoy their Blackened Chicken Sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, wings, and bone in chicken. There hasn't been anything wrong with the sides I've tried but they aren't my favorites. They employees have been very nice so far and prices are reasonable front these days.”
“Love this place. My wife and I first had breakfast and coffee here one Saturday and was blown away by everything from the friendly service, food/coffee, and the unique atmosphere. Came back for lunch on a Sunday and was impressed even more. Staff actually enjoys working there too and it shows with their excitement over the menu and their friendliness. For the atmosphere it is obvious a lot of heart and thought went into the design where the legacy of the original business here was preserved and merged into the eatery it is now. This place makes Black Mountain that much cooler. Bravo P&P!”
“[A Vegetarian & An Omnivore, Eating Out Together]It feels a bit superfluous to add another rave review to Corner Kitchen's glowing recommendations. But it's only fair because it truly is an excellent place to eat. We've been enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Corner Kitchen since moving to Asheville the same year it opened. We don't make it for breakfast quite so often anymore since the change to later opening hours and the brunch/lunch menu. But we understand the realities of food service in Asheville these days and are appreciative that the Corner Kitchen is still going strong. They still provide imaginative vegetarian options although the chef does lean heavily on adding bacon to a LOT of items. The lunchtime roast beef sandwich is sorely missed. But a regularly rotating dinner menu means there is always something new to try. Take out orders are always packaged thoughtfully. It would be hard to overstate how well-trained the staff is. You will be delighted by your server, regardless of who it is. The location is very much not handicap friendly, but that is no fault of the owners. It is an old house that has been re-designed as a restaurant and is located within an historic district. There is only so much that can be done. But if mobility is an issue for you, please be aware that the brick sidewalks are uneven (again, not something the owners can fix) and there are steps both to and in the restaurant. It is possible to eat on the patio and avoid the steps, but restrooms are only available on the second floor. The tables are quite close together and the volume this generates can make if difficult for folks with hearing issues. Again, there's not much that can be done about this given the constraints of the building. But if it's possible for you, we definitely recommend putting this on your "must try" list.”
“We had a nice afternoon on the patio for St. Patrick's day! The on tap beers and cider we tried were really flavorful, and the food trucks on site were easy to order from (and delicious). Great space for getting together with friends and listening to live music.”
“Took our team to dinner & had a great time and service. James was fabulous and helped all 10 of us with patience and great recommendations. Love the ambiance - lively but not too loud.”
“After coming to Asheville twice a year for 5 years, I really regret not knowing about this restaurant before. Today we decided to stop by and we had an amazing dinner experience. Flavorful, fresh and served with an honest and friendly smile. Deserve the high reviews and a bit more.”
“The Cuban cuisine was on point 150% (we resided in South Florida most of our lives). The courteous and knowledgeable staff were excellent as well. My wife and I enjoyed cortaditos (50-50 steamed milk w/Cuban espresso), pastelitos, croquettes, Cuban sandwich and roasted pork. And yes we're full, LOL. Atmosphere was great as most of the tables were full. A little slice of South Florida in Black Mountain, NC (who would have thunk that?)”
“My new favorite Asheville brewery! Gorgeous space, tons of outdoor seating in front and back (along the creek) and SUPER delicious food. Really friendly staff and on overall upbeat vibe”
“Fantastic family owned business!Fresh seasoned to perfection fish.Chips… omg you can tast the LOVE!Don’t forget the homemade sauces!!Great addition to South Asheville.Welcoming Golden Chips with open arms-See you soon!”
“The food was excellent, service was quick and professional. Anil was spot on with recommendations and anticipated our needs perfectly. Despite being busy, food came out very quickly and everything was delicious.Vegetarian options: Very many vegetarian and vegan options. I had the chickpea saag and it was amazing and very filling.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are clearly labeled and there were quite a few to choose from.”
“We had a great time celebrating my husband’s birthday tonight with our favorite wing flavors. Amber was so sweet and helpful! Always asking us if we needed anything. Love coming here!!”
“i really enjoyed this! i was hungry after a long hike and i’d read good reviews about this place. I ordered el cubano sandwich and a water. the sandwich was great, toasted well with good ingredients, and it came with potato chips that i enjoyed putting in the sandwich. The water was nice and cold too. Only suggestion is asking for extra pickles in the sandwich, they need a little more in the ratio. Very pleased! would take anyone here!”
“Visited Asheville for a few days and I ate at this location twice. Once to dine in and the other was carry out.The service and engagement from the staff was great! It seemed like a place that gave permission for their staff to be themselves, while focusing on the customers experience. We felt comfortable and at home.We got there before a line formed. It seems to come in waves. We were there mid week around 6:30p. Nevertheless, we ordered our food, got seated and the food began to come out as it was ready. The good was very good. I tried the chicken and waffles to play it safe initially. The waffles, eaten immediately while hot was the best way to go for me. Very tasty. The chicken was also pretty good and flavorful. Well seasoned. Not just that seasoning on the outside but not on the inside foolery. I could’ve done with a little less breading but still good. I went with the chicken fingers type pieces to last on top the waffles. The sides. Maaaaaaaaan!!!!Loved the sweet potato, corn casserole and Mac & cheese. Loved em! Ordered them twice.Enjoy the spot! It’s worth the visit. .”
“My go-to is the ice cream sandwiches! The balance of the cookies and the ice cream is perfect and you can take it to go as well without mess! I love the mission and I love the ice cream! Everyone is so nice and welcoming here. I will always be a customer!”
“Ever have been let down, always great food and service from the time you call in or go to eat at the restaurant service is attentive and delivery right on time every time. Have used them for many years and they have never let me down. Don't know what I would do without their help with making my meetings extra special with delicious food. I really can't say enough about Black Bear. Try it you will see.”
“Stopped here on a road trip and didn’t want to leave. Chuck, the owner, is a delight and an insanely talented artist. We had a nice chat while he prepared our lattes (which were some of the best we’d ever had), and what a delight! I’d be a regular if I didn’t live on the wrong coast.”
“Recommended by Scott at Weinhaus/Asheville- and we loved it! The entire staff was so gracious and attentive. The moule frites and steak frites were perfectly cooked and predented correctly. We cannot compare this to a better one, because we haven't found better than this. I loved watching the pétanque league play. We'll share our lucky find with our friends; when we move here later this year this place is our top destination.”
“Loved the rice bowl. My friend’s burger and fries looked terrific. The seating is weird. Low chairs, high tables or the reverse… Hope they work this out. Makes sitting at the bar preferable. Or takeout… Waze takes you to their old Tunnel Road location. They should move their sign on Tunnel over to their new location... The signage on the new building has the Terra Nova name with Loott’s only in the corner of the window.”
